INTRODUCTION
Royal Industrial Service
Established in year 2003, with the motto of providing precision quality fasteners to various sector
industries of India, Royal Industrial Service has established a name for itself in the manufacturing
sector of Jamnagar, Gujarat. Royal Industrial Service is amongst the leading names of fasteners
manufacturers of Jamnagar.
To expand its business horizons from local to national market and further to international market,
The founder of company Mr. Hitendra B. Khant took up the business training and consultancy
training program under Smmart training School in the 13 th batch of Gurukul course.
Furthermore to enhance his business run abilities and complete implementation of the learnings
in Gurukul tenure, he enrolled his executive assistant Mr. Shivam Sharma to the 20th batch of
Gurukul program under Smmart training and consultancy.
This sheet includes all the session wise learnings and their implementation that both Mr. Hitendra
and Mr. Shivam had work upon during the complete training program.

ENTERPRENEURIAL RIGHTS
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to De-stress
At Royal Industrial Service previously following activities stressed us and our team of employees.
1) Purchase orders from customers not completed on due date.
2) Maximum orders turned into urgent requirements as actions were not taken timely.
3) Orders from important/regular customers got late due to mis-planning and working on
other customer orders.
4) Excessive overtime due to unplanned production.
5) Exact usage of brass material used in production was very difficult to maintain. There was
always a difference in quantity used in first process to final ready material received.
6) No appropriate system in place to run the company administration.
To overcome the above problems we have implemented following steps and have de-stressed
ourselves.
1) Receive all the purchase orders from all customers through mails instead of phone calls.
2) Confirmation of orders through mails with due date so no misconceptions regarding
delivery date.
3) A list of items is maintained with order date, party name, ordered quantity, due date and
material dispatched date wise against the same.
4) Customer wise priority is set in production department and same list is provided to
production department with 2 days earlier planning.
5) For brass items job card is issued to production department in the starting of production
which sums up all the processes in one sheet. Entry of weight is done by the foreman at
receivers end so no one can do false entry; signature of concerned person is taken.
6) Work flow of company is note down. Every single job is mentioned and all the employees
are assigned there proper duty as per organization chart.

Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to My Time (Professional)

Previously in Royal Industrial Service (from hereon to be mentioned as RIS) all the staff members
and the top management were involved in every activity right from production to dispatch and
customer correspondence.
Consequences were that Mr. Hitendra Bhai and Mr. Mahendra Bhai the owner was also involved
in regular day to day activities.
To take out time for self we have assigned the specific duties to specific employee of company
and Mr. Hitendra Bhai has delegated his regular day activities of company to the employees
department wise.
The employees are given the decision making power concerned with their duties and thus Mr.
Hitendra bhai and his partner Mr. Mahendra Bhai have come of routine activities.
As a result Mr. Hitendra Bhai now spends maximum 3 hours in the company and is much more
involved in business development.
Mr. Mahendra Bhai is now involved in new parts development and any technical difficulties faced
in production department.
Mr. Shivam Sharma is still working on taking out time from professional day to day activities to
work on revenue generating activity of Implementing QMS system in company.
Right to My Time (Personal)
As Mr. Hitendra Bhai and Mr. Mahendra Bhai have delegated there day to day activities to the
employees of company they now spent much more time with family and Mr. Hitendra Bhai have
developed a new hobby of cooking. He now prepares dinner 4 times in a week.
Mr. Shivam Sharma has stopped postponing activities of personal life and now plan the week off
in a manner that all the personal stuff is completed before noon on week off and rest half of the
day he can spent in personal entertainment.
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Wealth
Wealth being the driving factor for of all activities, we at RIS, not only the top management but
also the key employees are involved in activities by which they can contribute maximum to the
work they are doing and do it in the best possible way with available resources.
This became possible only after each employee was assigned their specific duties in specific
department.
Mr. Hitendra Bhai recognize his distinct forte in business development with new customers and
increasing business with existing customers. He is currently working on the same.
Mr. Shivam Sharma recognize his distinct forte in implementation of QMS system in company as
he had previously worked on process quality and have learned about it from seniors having more
than 15 experience in QMS system (QA of OEM companies).
QMS is a revenue generating activity as in future when RIS will work with the big names in OEM
(Siemen, Secure Meters, Honeywell) they are all concerned with the strong QMS of they are
suppliers. So in order to work with the target companies we need to improve a lot our QM
system.
Currently there is no other employee have the knowledge of QMS so Mr. Shivam Sharma is
developing his team gradually so that every employee have extra time from his routine work and
can contribute towards implementation of QMS in their concerned departments.
Responsibilities under Process Quality
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Focus
At RIS, Mr. Hitendra Bhai is completely focused on developing a new infrastructure for company
considering the fact of growing business and requirement of proper infrastructure to increase
the production of company, match the growing customer requirement and providing a sound
workplace and environment to the employees to work properly.
He is dedicating his 3-4 hours daily for looking for a bigger place to shift the company and is in
continuous discussion with his sources for the same.
Mr. Shivam Sharma is focused on implementation of QMS system in company and fulfilling all
the customer required documentation. His focus get shifted from daily day to day activities but
by reading Smmart session modules and the Manifesto he restores his focus back to delegation
of junk activities and work on revenue generating activity.
He works with his team members in order to improving their ability to complete their duty in
lesser time and better way than they take now.

Production Planning Sheet
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Strategize
In order to reach our goals we are having vision but the strategy to achieve the same is missing,
not written or clearly defined.
We look forward to the strategy sheet development session of Gurukul to properly define our
strategy and define every key person role in achieving the business goals.
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Attract
RIS is an organization which is very much concerned with the welfare of its employees and
workers. Thus it always attract new foreman and workers to work in RIS.
We stand by our employees in every hour of their need.
The employees find working environment in RIS very positive and all of them render their best
service to the company because the top management has shown complete faith in every
employee’s worker ability and have always helped them every time they need not only
professionally but also in their personal life.
RIS has not yet faced such a situation in which employee had left the company because his
requirements were not fulfilled.
It is time for us to attract the right employees, the brains which run the company and for that we
need to have a proper administrative system in place.
We at RIS are adapting such policies in order to bring the current employees in a state of working
as per SOP, so that when we will develop the new infrastructure, at that time they have
developed a habit of working as per SOP.
This will attract the right brains when we will need them.
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Thrive
We at RIS are working on numerous non-standard designs of fasteners and develop special
tooling for the same and bear the expense also (Unlike other manufacturers who charge tooling
cost from the customers). Because we believe, “If we have the right tooling, Business will
automatically come to us”.
In this manner if we provide our customer what they need in the bulk quantity as per their
specifications, we will definitely become what our tag line reads i.e.

“One Stop Solution for all type of Fasteners”

Mr. Shivam Sharma have a motive of launching an export company in 15 years’ time with the
name

“Zenith- An Export House of Royal Industrial Service”

That functions under the Indian Tri-colour.

Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Cause
There need to be a big cause behind every motive which works as the driving force and the
motivational factor for every person who is working towards his motive.

Mr. Hitendra Bhai have the motive of developing RIS as the No. 1 company in the country in
fasteners manufacturing business. His cause behind this motive is to solve the problems faced by
Indian OEM companies related to fasteners.
Maximum companies make compromises in product quality or product specifications of
fasteners. The reason being the manufacturing process of fasteners, which is considered for bulk
quantity. Thus maximum fastener manufacturers works on standard designs.

The driving cause behind his motive is the one e-mail
which he received in his quality engineer tenure at previous job. The e-mail was from Elster
metering, Germany, insulting the Indian manufacturing companies.
He wants to make Elster Metering, Germany (now Honeywell) completely dependent on his
dream export house.
Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right to Better Tomorrow

At RIS we believe of making tomorrow better not only of self but of all the members of RIS family.
In this process we are spending 2-5% of our annual profit for making the future of our employees
and workers better.
Mr. Hitendra Bhai have noted down the aspirations of all the key persons from foremen to staff
members of the company and are working to fulfill all of them one after another.

WishList of Our Key Employees

Session 1
Entrepreneurial Rights

Right from Commoditization

At RIS, the product that we are manufacturing is the varied range of fasteners, some of them are
even available in open market.
But we have decided and have seen a vision of providing the best quality fasteners to our valuable
customers and as per their specifications and requirements. We are working and manufacturing
various non-standard design fasteners as per our customer requirement and provide them best
quality product.
We are also working on developing the tooling of maximum non-standard drawings so that after
few years we stand in a different league and the most common entity is de- commoditized.
We are also working on adding value to our services in order to attract the customers considering
our services of best quality product, in time delivery and best customer service.
