25 - Shapes
Lesson Procedure
Preparatory Activities:
The Teacher will ask the learners to stand up and will choose a learner to
lead the prayer. She will then let the learners sing the Philippine National
Anthem. After singing, the Teacher will remind the pupils about their
classroom rules and will ask some questions.
The following questions:
1. How are you today?
2. How are you feeling? (Sad, Happy, Sleepy)
3. What day is today?
4. What is our weather for today?
A. Introduction
Before the lesson starts, the Teacher will ask the learners about their
previous lesson to see the continuity. After that, she will introduce a game
which is called “Connect Me According to my Shape”. The Teacher will let the
learners come in front to connect the object that shows that specific shape
on the board. After the game, she will ask some following questions.
B. Interaction:
The Teacher will start the lesson by showing big customized shapes
(example : circle, square, triangle and rectangle etc.) and other concrete
materials. The Teacher will also flash the lesson using PowerPoint presentation for
showing the students other objects or things that have the shape of circle,square,
triangle and rectangle etc)
C. Integration:
After the discussion, the teacher will individually call the learners and
she will let them identify any shape found inside the classroom. After that, she will ask
the learners to think which places they have seen shapes aside from the classroom. She
will ask some following questions after.
D. Evaluation
The teacher will let the learners create their own pizza using a color red
crayon and different cut-outs shapes and they will paste it on their paper. (other
worksheets inserted)
