1st QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL 2023

NARRATIVE REPORT

Bongabon Central School faculty and staff conducted the 1 st Quarter Nationwide
Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 9, 2023, at exactly 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
Pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 070, s. 2023 in compliance to NDRRMC Memorandum No.
006, 2023, Resumption of face to Face – to – Face conduct of Nationwide Simultaneous
Earthquake Drill of all schools and offices are enjoined to participate in the conduct of quarterly
NSED. This activity is in line with the campaign of the Department of Education (DepEd) to equip
the school, teachers, and pupils with the awareness and knowledge on what to do in case of
natural and man – made disaster like earthquake that will strike our area.

The school DRRM coordinator together with the advisers of the pupils led the said activity.
The drill was carried out smoothly, it started with the ring of bell to signal the pupils that there was
an earthquake. The pupils occupied the designated areas based on the school evacuation plan
with the assistance of their advisers. Before the conduct of the drill, the school DRRM Coordinator
instructed all the teachers that after the bell rings, everybody must perform the safety precautions
such as duck, cover, and hold. When the adviser had secured the area for the pupils, they went
out from their classroom and went directly to the assigned areas in front of the stage. The pupils
and teachers covered their head when they walked. Then, the adviser did a head count to make
sure that all pupils were complete. After that the school DRRM coordinator evaluate the drill
together with the advisers. The drill ended at exactly 2:45 PM.

The Earthquake drill was successfully done through the collaborative efforts of Bongabon
Central School teachers and staff.
