REPORT ON THE RECENT TRIPPINGS OF THE SAGAMU LINE 1


Sequel to the recent trippings observed on Sagamu Line 1, 132kV line from our relays at Ikorodu
TS, investigation was conducted on the 9th February, 2022 to determine if any grid customer is
responsible for the faults by checking the event records on their protective relays.

Attached is the data extracted from the protective relays at the control rooms of the companies on
Sagamu Line 1 which includes AFL, Phoenix, Quantum Steel and Monarch.

Apparently, there is no fault event that coincides with the tripping recorded but of concern is the
Quantum Steel protection relays (P111) for both 132 and 33kV panels that have no provision for
storage of trip record.
