Hallucinogens

Made by Ezekiel P. Macapobre

Hallucinogens are a diverse group of drugs

that alter a person’s awareness of their
surroundings as well as their own thoughts
and feelings.

Examples of Hallucinogens
Marijuana
It has depressant, hallucinogenic and
stimulant properties. However, it does not
neatly fit into any single one of these
categories.

Ketamine

It is a synthetic compound used as an

anesthetic and analgesic drug and also
(illicitly) as a hallucinogen.

Mescaline

It is a hallucinogenic and intoxicating

compound present in mescal buttons from
the peyote cactus.

Psilocybin

It is a hallucinogenic alkaloid, found in some

toadstools.

Effects of Hallucinogens

increased heart rate
nausea
intensified feelings and sensory
experiences
changes in sense of time

Long Term Effects:

visual disturbances
disorganized thinking
paranoia

Effects to Humans:
hallucinations of sight, sound, taste and touch
a blurring of the senses, such as sounds being ‘felt’ or
colours being ‘heard’
feeling detached from the body
distortions of time, direction and distance
relaxation

Be Aware!

Most of the reasons why many partake in

using drugs is because of the lack their lack
of knowledge of such things

" The sun and moon are there, they create your
shadows. Don't let drugs identify what's there and
what's not there for you "
