Title: Alignment of Education Stakeholders’ Perspectives with the MATATAG Agenda’s

Vision for Education

METHODOLOGY:

RESEARCH DESIGN

This study employed a descriptive-thematic synthesis method of research to let researchers

reason out and maintain semantic coherence on meanings, stand and experiences. According to
Sundler, Lindberg,Palmér (2019), Based on a descriptive phenomenological approach, thematic
analysis goes from the original data to the identification of meanings, organizing these into patterns,
and encoding the results of details and issues related to the aim of the study and the actual context of
it. The main purpose of this study is to determine the stakeholders' perspective regarding the current
state of education, to examine the views of stakeholders regarding MATATAG agenda's vision for
education and to distinguish the parallelism of stakeholders' perspectives on this movement.

PARTICIPANTS OF THE STUDY

The fifteen respondents and informants involved in this study are Grades 11-12, students,
teachers of Alangilan Senior High School, and parents. For the reason that they know more about the
Department of Education's innovative program as well as the content of this movement. The students
are the ones who can give their point of view or perspective about their certain experience towards
some the improvements of the education system. Futhermore, the teachers can provide more
information and knowledge about the MATATAG agenda in view of the fact that they were the first to
be aware about it. And lastly, the parents are certainly capable of sharing the advantages that has
been brought to their children in the new DepEd program.

INSTRUMENT OF THE STUDY

The instrument utilized in this study was an interview guide consisting of nine questions that is
divided based mainly on the three objectives of the study. The first part has three questions that focus
on the perspective of stakeholders on the current situation of education. The second part includes
three questions that examine the perception of stakeholders regarding MATATAG Agenda's Vision for
education, and the third part with three questions focused on distinguishing the similarities of
stakeholders' perception on the MATATAG Agenda's Vision for education.

PROCEDURES

After the panelists have reviewed the researcher's interview guide, the researchers will begin
the interview. The interview will be conducted in accordance with an agreement between the
researchers and the participants. All of the researchers will introduce themselves before the interview
begins, after which it will start. All of the interview questions were developed with researchers in
accordance with the ongoing study that would be undertaken. Before, during, and after the interview,
the participants are free to clarifying questions, because they are the ones who are experiencing the
topic and can supply the necessary information. The participants selected by the researchers are
appropriate for this particular topic. If the participants agree, the researchers should use a cell phone
to record all the data that will support the study.

Face to face interview

Face-to-face interviewing is a technique for gathering data in which the researchers speak
directly with each participant during the interview. All of the data that will be acquired using this kind
of methodology has been verified and is guaranteed to be useful for the study. In fact, one of the most
established and often used techniques for doing primary research is face-to-face (F2F) interviewing.
A market researcher and a target respondent conduct face-to-face interviews (F2F) in public places
such as streets, homes, offices, and gathering places, as cited in the study of Charlie Marshall
(2016).

ANALYSIS

Following the interview, the stakeholders' recorded responses are meticulously transcribed and
encoded using words, phrases, paragraphs, and passages from the transcripts. While listening to an
audio recorded interview, each category of the texts is categorized using a design coding matrix.
Patterns are then identified according to the ideas that have converged, such as actions, and their
explanations are thoroughly assessed.

ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS

While conducting this study, an obligatory and required measures were considered in order to
avoid a certain ethical issues that might concern the respondents of the study, authors and sources of
the information used in this research, as well as the setting. It is assured that all the information that
the researchers got from a source have a proper acknowledgement or credential for all it contributed
on their study. Being transparent with the information, analysis, assumptions, and methods used are
also well conducted. Mainly on gathering data and methods, the researchers used American
Psychological Association (APA) format of citation to ensure that the study will most likely be
plagiarism-free. Overall, the respondents will never be forced to participate on the research process
and if they agree so, it is assured that their personal information won't be disclose to the public as a
confidential detail.
