AFFIDAVIT

1. My name is Darji Pravinkumar Govindbhai. I own the property at Mumbai and have the
property on rent.
2. I know Mr. Bharatbhai Patel and Mrs. Ranjan Patel as they have been tenants in my
house from 13th July 2021 to 21st October 2021. I provided their identity documents to
the local authorities as per the laws of tenant verification.
3. Just before they left the apartment, two police officers came to the apartment and
inspected the property thoroughly and also broke the furniture. I know that the officers
slapped Bharatbhai and gave him 10 days’ time to bring them his son Hardik Patel. When
the police officers were leaving, they also threatened me to vacate the property at once
and make the tenants leave.
4. I learned that Bharatbhai and his son were supporting the Indian National Congress party
and being tormented by the police agencies and BJP members. I felt sympathy towards
them as they seemed to be good people, but I did not want to get into trouble with the
police myself.
5. Bharatbhai and his wife left my premises on 21st October 2021. I recently got a phone
call from him requesting that I write an affidavit in support of his son’s asylum case.
6. I wish Hardik best for his case and hope he remains safe.

VERIFICATION

Verified that the contents of this affidavit are true and correct to the best of my ability, memory
and recollection and have been narrated by me to the Preparer in Hindi language. The contents
have been read back to me in my native language Hindi and affirmed by me.
