OBJECTIVE

MERGE SIGNALS IN LABVIEW AND OBSERVING THE

OUTPUT
EQUIPMENT
 Computer System  Software: LabView v8.6

PROCEDURE
1. Open the LabView software and select blank VI.
Two windows will be opened then press CTRL+T.

Figure 1.1: Starting two windows of LabView

2. Right click
Express Input Simulate signal.
3. Adjust the parameters like Amplitude, frequency and phase etc.
Figure 1.2: Adjusting the parameters of LabView

4. Repeat the same procedure as in (3) but with phase shift of 90(deg).

Figure 1.3: Adjusting the parameters of LabView with 90o phase shift

5. Right Click on block diagram and select

Express Signal manipulation Merge signals.
6. Connect the output of waves with the inputs of merge signal block.
7. Right Click at the output of merge signal block and select Graph indicator.
8. Right Click on the frequency parameter of simulate signal first and select
Create Control
9. Right Click Structure While Loop
10. Drag the Wile Loop to cover all the blocks as shown in the diagram below and run the
VI.
Figure 1.4: Dragging the While loop and running the VI

RESULTS
Two signals are merged and shown on the same graph.
