1. Introduction
This structural Report lists the criteria that will be used for the structural
design of a Nile City . It includes; the codes of practice utilized, loading
criteria, and material sections; and gives a brief description of the
proposed structural system to be used.
2. Design Criteria
2.1 Aim of Structural Design
2.1.1 Safety
The main concern of structural design is to design strong structure that
will safely carry the self-weight, and all superimposed dead and live loads,
also the equivalent wind loading through a strong connection to the
supporting beam without exceeding the allowable capacity limit.
2.1.2 Durability
This Nile City must be designed to be utilized for many years to come
as possible. Prolonging the life time of steel structure is enhanced by
proper designer of bolted and welded connection to resist cyclic stresses
and by producing good quality welds. Protection against corrosion is
achieved by painting of elements and/or using of galvanized steel.

3. Structural System
The Nile City is supported on steel columns these steel columns will
transmit there loads to foundation, to ensure stability of the structure

4. Loading Criteria
4.1 Dead Load
Self-weight of steel members (taken by sap2000).
q=0.5*10-3*v2*Ct*Cs=0.5*10-3*332*1.25*1*1=0.068 t/m2
K=1
Ce = 0.8(comp.) &0.8(suc.)
Pe=Ce*K*q
F=0.7x0.054=.037 t/m2
5. Load Combinations
Load cases and combinations were generated according to ECP
D+wl (Eq.2.4.1-1)
D-wl (Eq.2.4.1-2)
6. Structural Material
All structural Steel used is st37 with the following specifications:
