DESCRIPTION:
This Parts-Service Gram replaces Gram AA00121R03H to add the following models: H004,
F024, R005, and K006. Please discard all electronic and paper copies of that previous Gram.

In 2002, Hyster Company introduced an alternative head for LPG engines for use in high
temperature types of applications. An aftermarket complete “LT” cylinder head assembly was also
made available from the Parts Distribution Center in Danville, IL. under kit part number 1553962.
This head was made standard on engines from 2004 on.
This kit includes the following items:

** This cylinder head assembly contains hardened exhaust seat inserts, induction hardened intake
seats, intake valves, Stellite coated exhaust valves, valve springs, seals, stem retainer keys, and
caps.

In a further effort for product improvement, another improved head is being made available for
severe locations which are having issues with the 1653888 head that is standard on the current
engines. The new head is part number 4017128. It includes all of the same features of the “LT”
head above with the addition of Thinsert seats on the intake valves. The new head will have a
stamped letter “A” on the end of the head for identification. See figure 1 for location.
