1. Drill Objectives:
Remind staff of the sound and/or sight of fire alarms, the location of
emergency routes
and assembly point.
Test that fire safety measures work as intended.
Give fire wardens an opportunity to practice their duties.
Ensure that emergency routes and exits are free from obstructions.
Improve the project team’s safety evacuation awareness;
Improve the project emergency response team’s emergency situation
capability;
Test and verify the fire alarm system’s effectiveness.
2. Drill Scenario:
On MARCH 20, 2023 at 08:40 AM, steel cutting work was going on near to the
AFAQ
facility, and fire warden was working in the same place area-suddenly he
observed the fire
 happening at the wood. The Fire warden informed immediately to an area
HSE officer who was present near that area, at the same time fire warden
raised the fire alarm.
After hearing the fire alarm, all the workers and management team are
required to evacuated to assembly point which was located at the site office
area through the emergency exit under the guidance of HSE Officer
immediately, After the Evacuation, Searching was conducted for
the site office by the area HSE Officer to make sure everyone is evacuated at
the Assembly Point.
After evacuating to the muster point, the project employees were required to
stay at muster point till the fire risk is eliminated, during the waiting time the
head counting was conducted HSE manager according to the emergency
evacuation drill plan.
3. Drill Sequence:
1. Fire Warden is aware of the fire incident in the facility area.
2. The Fire Warden informs the incident to the site safety officer.
3. The HSE officer immediately informed to Fire Warden to raises the fire
safety alarm.
4. The HSE Officer gets in place on the emergency exit access for site team
members
evacuation guiding.
5. The AFAQ Site Office and working location inside employees evacuates to
the muster point after being aware of the fire alarm.
6. Fire risk is eliminated, and evacuation complete

6. Conclusion/Summary
During the emergency evacuation fire drill, the drill scenario sequence was
implemented properly;
the project office members are familiar with the evacuation emergency
handling measures well.
Through the drill, HSE team emergency response handling capability is
improved; the project office members’ evacuation and fire hazards
awareness are improved too.
7. Drill Observation
Time of the Mock drill, following observation has observed
1. During the drill it was found that the staff was not fully aware of the exit
routes to the assembling areas.
2. Some of the place was filled with unused materials and other stationary,
which had blocked the way of master point
3. 5% of employees did not cooperate with the drill
8. Corrective Action
1. Awareness training has arranged for the emergency evacuation route
2. Removed unused/unwanted materials from the way of master point
3. Disciplinary action to be taken against the 5% of employees
