INTRODUCTION

It is with technology that the activity of modern man is to a large extent connected. It is she who has
an ever-increasing impact on modern civilization, transforming it into a post-industrial one. It is
not surprising that technology in all its variety of connections and relations with various spheres
and phenomena of society and nature is the object of philosophical attention.

Recent history has supplemented the list of numerous philosophical oppositions with another, in its
own way ambiguous and paradoxical - man-technology. The conflicting semantic meanings of this
disposition in the most general approximation are reduced to two. On the one hand, technology is
seen as inhumane in its essence, a kind of monster that enslaves a person. On the other hand, the
development of technology shows that with its help a person can solve many problems of his life.
However, when studying the interaction between man and technology, we must not forget that

it has a concrete historical character and acts, in essence, as a manifestation of a historically

determined level of development of science, a historically determined organization of labor. The
personality in the socio-technical system, formed by the interactions of people and technology,
should be considered not in the abstract, but as a product of certain social relations, the social
environment. Technique in its development also underwent significant changes due to the growth of
social needs and the success of science. Therefore, in different historical epochs, the accents in this
system changed, the role of a person changed.

The importance of the human factor is determined by the fact that the role of a person and his
capabilities in the process of managing various objects is increasing. The more complex the
management, the more the requirements for the intellectual functions of a person and other mental
processes grow, ranging from perception and attention to responsibility. Recently, in the practice of
personnel selection, intellectual tests are used for the psychological assessment of a person. For each
specialty, there is a list of the most important professional qualities, without which there will be no
professional.

Section 1. "Psychological aspects of managing socio-technical systems"

Systemic socio-technical interaction is based on the “human-technical” relationship and is in
demand today in all areas of life, including science and education. The human and technological
factors actively interact with each other, penetrating each other, and are interconnected at all levels.

Socio-technical systems (STS) are complex systems consisting of social and technical systems
(subsystems). Due to the fact that the object under study is a kind of system, let us consider the
essence of the system itself and its typology.

A system is a set of interrelated elements designed to achieve a specific goal and form a certain
integrity, unity.

One of the main classifications of systems is their division into technical, biological and social. They
play an important role in the formation of social, socio-economic and socio-technical systems. Let us
consider technical and social systems that are of interest for understanding the nature of socio-
technical systems.

The technical system consists of machines, machine tools, instruments, equipment, technologies, the
operation process of which is defined. It is characterized by a high degree of certainty, the number
of decisions is finite, and their consequences, as a rule, are known in advance. The decisions made
are strictly formalized and are carried out in a certain order. The quality of a decision in a technical
system depends on the professionalism of the specialist who makes this decision.

The social system is characterized by the presence of a person
