The first character should be an Adept of the Cult Mechanicus and also :
· His greatest fear is to be corrupted by a corrupt code in his quest for knowledge or being
declared heretic due to his forbidden tech.
· They should be born on a forge world and born into his duties.
· They should not hold any major position or title in the Cult Mechanicus.
· They have found a Tesseract Labyrinth on their first mission and kept it despite the risk of Heresy.
The second character should be an Skitarius of the Cult Mechanicus and also :
· They do not remember who they were before their conversion into Skitarius.
· Their last memory before waking up augmented is of an holy vision of the Omnissiah as a result
of a near-death experience while being desintegrated on the battlefield
· They should have a unique war paint as a reminder of their forgotten past
· The duo's first mission together led them to a Necron tomb world.
· According to the Adept's calculation the mission should have been a simple routine scouting.
· The Skitarius pilots and lands the ship onto the tomb-world and is gripped with unease
· The Adept dismisses the Skitarius worries and intends to keep exploring
· The duo venture deeper than they intended due to the Adept's thirst for knowledge.
· The story skips to the duo fleeing with the Tesseract Labyrinth from the Adept's background in
his possession. The Skitarius is offering cover fire as they flee.
· The duo manages to escape and flee into the warp as the Necron World awakens as they fly off-
world.
· The duo exit the warp near the orbit of a Forge World in an unknown system.
· The Skitarius asks if the Adept is getting the same time readings and realize they are now in the
41st millenia.
· The story ends with the two uncertain of their future and but unwavering in their duty but
fearful the artefact be discovered
