her 2 dogs. If she wants to buy them 50 heart
biscuits each and a sweater each, how many
items does she need to buy?

5. Lucy is buying doggie boots for her 4 dogs. If she

wants to buy them one puppy boot for each of
their feet, how many boots will she buy?

Answers

1. 17 + 14 = 31
Mrs. Sheridan has 31 cats altogether.

2. 22 + 47 = 69
She has 69 fish now.

3. 3 biscuits for each dog, so 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12

She needs to buy 12 biscuits in all.

4. 51 items (50 biscuits and 1 sweater) for each dog,

so 51 + 51 = 102
She needs to buy 102 items in all.

5. Each dog has 4 feet, so 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16

She needs to buy 16 boots.
