GENERAL INFORMATION
CLEANING GEARS

Clean all metal parts except bearings, in mineral spirits Check all gears for wear and damage. Replace gears

Loosen the clip and disconnect the air intake hose. Attach identification tags then disconnect the electrical
wires from the starter motor solenoid and the engine oil

Remove the bolts and washers that fasten the air filter
and compressor mounting bracket to the front
extension (chassis). Disconnect the electrical wire from the temperature
sensor.

Remove the mounting bracket complete with the air


filter and compressor. Attach identification tags and disconnect the electrical
wires from the alternator.

front panel to the turbine fan guard. Disconnect and cap the inlet and outlet hoses from the
fuel filter housing. Install caps onto the open housing

NOTE: For Installation, use new sealing washers each


side of the special bolts.

Remove the bolts and washers that fasten the fuel filter
housing to the front panel.

extension (chassis) to the engine.

NOTE: For Installation, install new nuts.

Carefully separate the front axle and front extension


from the engine. Remove the shims from the Allen bolt
holes on the LH and RH side.

NOTE: For Installation, use the same procedure in


reverse order. Install the same amount of shims to the
LH and RH side.
