One day a friend asked her whether she was born calm
and happy. She said, “No”, and continued, “When I was
little, my mother gave me a piece of advice which I have
been following. Her advice was Anyone who angers you,
conquers you. Anger is one letter short of DANGER.’’

- Dale Carnegie

WILL
Time spent is time saved. Only when you spend the time
fruitfully you can save the time. In other words, time,
which is spent usefully, will help you to achieve your
goals in life.
Time moves faster when you are happy and slower when
you are depressed or unhappy. You do not realize the
passage of time when you are in the company of loved
ones, the reason being you are happy during that time.
Psychologically you feel that the time is spent very fast.
On the other hand, when you spend your time with a
person you inherently hate, you seem to have spent the
time longer than what it actually is, because you are not
happy in that person’s company.
33
WILL
When one says that time flies or time drags time but
merely it is our experience of time at a particular
moment. Time is finite. Nobody has any more of it than
you, i.e. 24 hours a day, 168 hours per week, and 8,760
hours per year. What really counts is how you make use
34
WILL
of it. Time will not wait for us. We may choose to let it
pass or use each moment to the fullest extent possible.

For instance:
You schedule the entire day for a week and review your
activity every four hours you know where your time
pilferage is. The moment you realize where the time is
spent unnecessarily you can take timesaving actions.
Automatically, after week awareness get imbibed in your
system.

4. Urgent now but not important,
5. Urgent and important.
The moment you write down the categories you will find
unique ways to allot time and complete the task.
38
WILL
4. Be punctual
5. Discard perfectionism
6. Develop team spirit
7. Motivate yourself – appreciate freedom and
function independently

This time, the disciple found the mud had settled down,
and the water was clean and clear. So he collected some
water in a pot and brought it to Buddha. Buddha looked
at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and
said, “See what you did to make the water clean. You let

Tips on Leadership
There is only one way - the strategic way. It sets the tone
of the organization. Be open to the best of what
everyone, everywhere, has to offer. You should transfer
learning across your organization.

Concepts of Leadership
Good leaders are made, not born. If you have the desire
and willpower, you can become an effective leader.
Good leaders develop through a never-ending process of
self-study, education, training, and experience. This
guide will help you to understand that process.

Then came Seema who took too much liberty and began
moving like a cat in a cage. She began circling round and
round and moved her hands too much. Evaluation was
done. Then came Savitha. She took a clue from both Sara
and Seema and neither stood like a statue nor paced like
a cat. Her talk was balanced and finally she got the best
opinion. We have to emulate Savitha to be a good public

The goals and objectives that you set should fulfill the
following attributes: realistic, achievable, clear, specific,
challenging, time-frame, consistent, quantifiable and
written. If you set a goal to reach moon and settle down
there, it is an unrealistic goal. As an individual it is an
impossible task, on the other hand, it was possible for
United States to send people to reach moon and get
them back to earth.
