II. Project Summary

The goal of this section is to present the reasons for doing this project as well as
stating the project's objectives. In this section in particular it is very important to
write concisely and clearly. Be able to answer the following questions:

The main objective of this innovation project is to ensure the online and
automated submission of analysis reports on school buildings in this
schools division. Previously, the submission and consolidation of reports
were done manually. Using the said scheme, the SDO personnel concerned
found difficulties in consolidating the reports because not all schools
submit their reports on time. Thus, online and automated systems can help
improve the procedures and minimize labor, paper-works, and expenses.

 Why are you doing this project?

As part of their tasks as Division Engineer III and Information


Technology Officer I, the proponents take it upon themselves to develop and
improve a more manageable and reliable data gathering and maintenance
procedure for this Schools Division Office.

 What will you be doing?

As such, the proponents would like to implement the online and


automated submission of reports on analysis of school buildings using
Google Workspace for Education Applications that include Google Sheets,
Google Drive, and Gmail.

 How will you be doing it?

The proponents intend to do it by creating online platforms to allow


online and automated submission of reports through the school heads or
school education facilities focal persons.

 Who will be doing it?

The proponents will be needing the assistance and support of all the
Public Schools District Supervisors, District Education Facilities (EF) Focal

Persons, school heads and school EF focal persons by encoding their school
analysis reports on school buildings in the online platforms created by the
proponents.

 Where will it be done?

This innovation project will be done online or in the virtual / digital


world.

 How long will it take?

The project will be implemented for two (2) months.

 How much will it cost?

Laptops and mobile phones with internet connectivity will be the primary
needed resources in utilizing this innovation project. No direct financial
resources is involved in implementing this project.

III. Project Background

Explain what needs/problems you are trying to solve, and why these
needs/problems are worth solving. You should also provide a brief setting and
history behind the project. This section should be no more than a page. Include
references to supporting documentation, such as project design or lay-out. This
information can be placed in the Index.

The Education Facilities (EF) Section of School Governance and


Operations Division (SGOD) regularly requires schools to submit their school
analysis reports of school buildings for submission to higher offices. In order to
expedite the submission of such reports, paperless and online submission is
highly encouraged to minimize the use of resources. The created/ developed
online platform will provide ease in the consolidation because the required data
will not be processes manually.

With this innovation project, reports on school buildings will be easily


available and will enable this schools division office to consolidate and submit
the needed data to the regional and central offices for possible allocation of

school buildings on time which will help us in improving the quality of basic
education services which we could provide to our stakeholders and learners.

IV. Project Objectives State explicitly what goals the project is aiming to
achieve.

The main objective of this innovation project is to ensure the online and
automated submission of analysis reports on school buildings in this schools
division.

Specifically, it intends to:

1. create an online platform to generate reports on analysis of school


building;
2. enable Education Facilities Section to consolidate the needed data for
prompt submission to the regional and central offices; and
3. provide paperless submission and generation of data.

V. Project Methodology

This section details the plan for how the project objectives will be achieved. It
usually starts with a description of the overall approach.

The whole process entails the online encoding and automated


submission of reports on analysis of school buildings of 471 schools in this
schools division. This will include the utilization of already existing DepEd-
sponsored Google Workspace for Education such as the Google Sheets, Google
Drive, and Gmail.

The beneficiaries of this innovation project are the teachers and learners
of 471 schools, district offices, planning officers, and the Schools Division of
Capiz in general.
