MINUTES OF THE 2nd PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL 2023 GENERAL ASSEMBLY

TIME : 7:00 PM
VENUE: La Consolacion Parish

I. CALL TO ORDER
Rev. Fr. Carmelo M. Agustin called the meeting to order at 6:59 PM. The meeting began
with an opening prayer led by Sis.

II. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

There being __ out of 34 members present, PPC Coordinator Sis. Mariel Dizon declared the
existence of a quorum.

III. PRESENTATION OF AGENDA

The Council approved the proposed agenda as presented.

IV. READING AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES

There being no corrections made, on motion duly made and seconded, the Council approved
the minutes of the meeting dated February 15, 2032 as presented.

V. PARISH PRIEST’S REPORT

Fr. Melo Agustin discussed the following:
1. He asks about what happened to the palaspas made by the parish youth ministry and
the suppliers of the palaspas that was sold during holy week. He also give feedback
regarding to the palaspas that he used during the procession and applauded the
performances of the COMI during hosana that they have done better this time.
2. He advised that the flow of the procession should be organized in order to sustain the
formation of the people at the back. He also added that the triduum that was held
went good.
3. He informed everyone regarding the raffle tickets that was worth Php 145,000 in
total.
4. He remind the CPC that they were the core group, that they should work together
with formation and bring “church to church”.
5. He agreed to Sis. Corazon Adriano regarding the songs that they should be flashed in
the monitor so that people can sing along and participate during holy week/masses
and added that the camera man were too much which caused other mass goers to be
distracted.
6. He let everyone know that Apostles must not part of any parish organizations and
should be attending catechism before holy week to be a part of it.. He further stated

their functions after holy week, they should be joining in any organization inside the
parish.

VI. PPC COORDINATOR’S REPORT

Bro. Angelo Adriano discussed the following:
1. He thanked the people who contributed time and effort to the recent activities, and
they were;
a. Pastoral Planning Attendees
b. Ministry of Formation and Ministry of Altar Servers who hosted Lenten
recollection
c. Mass Servers, sponsors, CPC, those who sell Palaspas and candles, and to
those who helped and clean the parish during holy week
d. Participants during recommissioning
e. Casts who participated during Salubong
f. Camareros
g. Those who sponsor during easter pilgrimage
h. Pilgrimage Coordinators
2. He asked for any evaluations during pilgrimage, and here are as follows;
a. Allotted chairs were not enough- He explained that it was caused by late
registrants.
b. Among suggested that the registration fee should be increase and Bro. Angelo
was looking forward to meet sponsors in order to make it happen.
3. He reminded everyone about the incoming 67th Founding Anniversary of the Parish
on May 6, 2023 and provided three options;
a. Option 1: The mass will be held together with the mass wedding at 10:00 am
b. Option 2: Mass at 7:00 or 8:00 am, mass wedding at 10:00 am and will
continue the afternoon masses in chapels
c. Option 3: Mass 6:00 pm plus short program at parish
Majority voted in option 3 and each organization will prepare dance presentation for
the program. He then added that he will assign facilitators for the program. He
finalized the said event by stating that on May 06, 2023, barangay Rizal’s first
novena mass will be held at 9:00 am and mass wedding at 10:00 am to give way for
the said event.
4. He and majority agreed to among suggestion that this year’s Flores de Mayo will be
participated by CPC coordinators or officers ( atleast 2 participants). He also stated
the flow of this program that will be held on May 28,2023;
4:00 pm- afternoon mass
5:00 pm- Sagala
5. He let everyone know about the parish outing, every organization should made a poll
in their group conversation for the preferred date. Attendees must be active servers of
the parish, there will be registration fee and the venue is to be announce.
6. He showed the draft Pastoral Plan to everyone and stated the details of it.

7. He let everyone know about the Cruzada ning La Consolacion that is also included in
the pastoral planning. He said that the Cruzada will be held house-to-house with the
image of the patron of its barangay and will be done weekly. He added that it is to be
launched at the Parish Feast day and will start looking for sponsors for the image of
La Consolacion.
8. He also said that the parish will make a calendar activities and stated the upcoming
activities for the month of May and June.
9. He reminded everyone regarding the profiling of the new members of every
organization.

VII. PFC COORDINATOR’S REPORT

Sis. Carshena Adriano reported the following:
1. She stated that there are no financial statements for the month of March due to
ongoing audit but rather reported the money raised for Alay Kapwa.
2. She also added that there were still no construction report submitted by Sis.
Mel.
3. She let everyone knows about the role of the PFC, which is to generate funds.
She also stated about the sure project of PFC, which is BINGO but added
that the date is not finalized.
4. Among Melo added that the money raised for Alay Kapwa was amounting to
almost P16,000 in total.
5. Bro. Angelo Adriano added that CPC tresurers were also member of the PFC
and let everyone know that there will be fund raising project that will
organized by the PFC and CPC treasurers. He added that there is no officical
date but the target date is on May 27, 2023, he then advised that we should
do it quarterly as among suggested. Other details regarding this will be
provided immediately.
6. Bro. Angelo reminded that chapels who have masses and masses during their
patron’s feast day, 25% of the money will be remitted to the parish after all
their expenses.
7. Bro. Angelo proposed an engagement on how chapels will generate funds. He
said that he will give 2 types of solicitation (for rich/poor). He also added
that Financial Statements will be reported every Sunday masses and Among
Melo agreed to him.
8. Bro. Angelo suggested to prepare an annual budget to anticipate expenses.
9. Among Melo agreed to the suggestion of Bro. Clinton Manalang that the
money to be expense should be monitor, limit the funds so that there will no
over expenses and if someone exceed the budget, that someone will
shoulder the excess amount.

VIII. MINISTRY REPORTS

A. MINISTRY ON LITURGY
Bro. Dannie Sampang reported the following:

1. He expresses gratitude to everyone who gave their time and effort during the
holy week.
2. He let everyone know that there would be mass in the parish for the feast day
of Our Lady of Fatima.
3. He gave updates regarding other details of upcoming feast days.

B. MINISTRY ON FORMATION
Sis. Corazon Adriano reported the following:
1. She mentioned the accomplishments in their ministry in the recent months.
2. She remind everyone about the attendees and issue regarding the pre-registration
of the Lenten Recollection.
3. She gives updates and information about the mass wedding that will be held on
May 06, 2023 at the parish. She also reminded the CPC officers to remind the
participants in their barangay.
4. She let everyone know that there will a Parish Youth Formation on April 23,
2023 after the morning mass and the attendees are all the youth of the different
organization inside the parish, both junior and senior youth. She added that they
will bring snacks and said that it will be a way to make them unite again.
5. She asked everyone regarding the attendance in front of the parish if it will be
continue or be stop, everyone agreed, even among to still continue the said
attendance.

C. MINISTRY ON SERVICE
Bro. Joselito Magcalas reported the following:
1. He let everyone know that he and Bro. Jon Morales had already begun cleaning
several areas of the church in preparation for putting up Christmas decorations in the
first week of December.
2. Additionally, he let everyone know that some CCTV cameras had been installed in
the vicinity of the church.

IX. CPC REPORT

Sis. Shara Jane Manalang reported the following:
1. She expressed gratitude to all CPC for their support and contribution of time and
effort during holy week.
2. She asked approval to PPC for the repair of San Jose Chapel’s door and added that
Sis. Krizhelle will be the one who will made the letter.
3. She also asked for approval that barangay San Juan de Dios would like to have their
weekly masses again and provided two options;
a. Option 1: First Friday and third Friday (7:00 pm)
b. Option 2: Second and fourth Friday
4. She welcomed the new CPC coordinator of siran, Sis. Helen
5. She reminded everyone that masses and novena for the feast days on the month of
May and June will be finalized on April 23, 2023, Sunday.

6. She stated the rules and regulations regarding the funeral

7. She reminded CPC regarding the sash that were used by apostles during holy week to
collect and give them back.
8. She also stated that CPC can asked for solicitation letter for their upcoming feast day.

X. ADJOURNMENT
There being no other matters to discuss, on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting
was adjourned at 8:39 PM. Bro. Joselito Magcalas led the closing prayer and Fr. Melo gave
the final blessing.
