Plumbing Works – General Building

Plumbing Works

• All plumbing pipe work & fixtures are to be replaced with new and up to date
applications to ensure water efficiency and great durability if the plumbing system.

• All supply lines and fittings to be Sch 40, all waste pipe to be (4” SDR 41 / 2” & 1,1/2
‘SDR 32.5) and all waste fittings to be DWV.

• Supply and installation of Sch 40 1” PVC supply lines from pump room along back of
machine shop to supply the following areas:

▪ Bay# 4 – Male washroom

▪ Bay# 2 – Class room
▪ Bay# 2 – Kitchen (Inclusive of Bottle-less Water Dispenser)
▪ Bay# 1&2 – Eye wash stations
▪ Bay# 1,2,3&4 -Exterior Garden Taps

• Bay# 1 – Change room

• Bay# 1&3 – Water Trouf

•Contractor to ensure all supply lines are clamped to exterior masonry walls and
all supply lines are to be installed level and plumb to masonry exterior wall. Contractor
to cater for the installation of brass isolation valves, check valves, clean-outs and
compression couplings. Contractor is required to install independent supply lines to
each identified washroom, class room, change room, eye wash station and kitchen area
and is required to provide labelled and screen-printed adhesives with directional
arrows for all supply lines on completion of installation works. All installed isolation
valves, check values and compression couplings are required to accessible from ground
elevation. Contractor is required to re-install all waste-water lines and sewer lines and
ensure all lines are secured and graded on completion of installation works with no
visible leaks on completion of installation.

▪Cleaning and servicing of existing nine (9) no. 1000 gallon Water Tanks and
replacement of all float valves, PVC connections, filling lines and isolation valves and
ensure all tanks are connected to service supply on completion of works

•Supply and installation of one (1) no. Pressure Cyli nder(25 gal ),
one (1 ) 3/4 HP Gould Water Pump and one (1) Float Switch . The supply and
installation of all Schedule 40 PVC connections (1,1/2” from tanks/ 1” from pump),
check valves and lock-off valves. Water pump is to be installed directly adjacent to
water tanks and the Contractor is required to bolt and secure water pump to ensure
water pump is stable on completion of works. Contractor to remove and condemn
existing plumbing configuration to existing water pump on completion of works.

On lot Soil Treatment Plant

•Open and clean both Cesspit and Soake Away inspection to be done to
determine if pits is functional or if repairs are required before they are put back in
service.

Bay #4. Male Washroom

Installation of General Floor Drain – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of one (1) no. general floor drain for washroom area
inclusive of strainer cap and ensure drainage line is graded for outflow to exterior
drainage on completion of works, with the Contractor to embed drain line within
concrete apron and repair concrete apron utilizing 1:2:4 concrete admixture with
epoxy bonding agent

Installation of Water Closets – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of fore (4) no. Twyford Close Coupled White
Porcelain water closets with cistern and lever cistern 6/4 liter flush inclusive of all
fittings, toilet internals and stainless-steel braided filling lines and ensure toilets are
connected to sewer waste connection and secured and stabilized on completion of
works

Installation of Urinals – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of two (2) no. White Twyford Clifton Deep Bowl
Urinals with minimum nine (9) liter Ceramic Cistern and supported on the required
brackets, inclusive of all required fittings, Schedule 40 supply lines and waste lines and
ensure system if functional on completion of works

Installation of Vanity – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of three (3) no. vanity (approximate dimension of

6’ – 0” (length) * 2’ – 0” (depth) * 3’ – 0” (height)) with two (2) no. rectangular
elevated porcelain sink with two (2) no. marine grade and corrosion resistant goose
neck Mixer (hot & cold) and plain patterned 1” thick white solid surface countertop.
Vanity to have installed four (4) no. cupboard door with corrosion resistant
stainless-steel handles and one (1) no. sub-divided cupboard shelving, with shelving to
be sand sealed and coated. Item is inclusive of the installation of all associated
Schedule 40 PVC connections and stainless-steel braided fill lines and ensure system
is functional with an unencumbered flow of water on completion of works. Contractor
to supply and install 3” * 6” white tile back splash (approximate square area of 25
Square Feet; Contractor to verify dimensions on-site) on completion of works, with 6’
– 0” * 4’ – 0” mirror with flush wooden frame finish

Installation of Shower – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of Three (3) no. single handle shower mixers with
rubber touch-clean spray holes (hot and cold dispensation) inclusive of the installation
of all waste lines, drain strainers and connections to supply lines and ensure system is
functional with an unencumbered flow of wastewater on completion of works.
Contractor to ensure drain lines are channeled to exterior drainage and is embedded
in concrete apron with corrective works on concrete apron utilizing a 1:2:4 concrete
admixture with an epoxy bonding agent

Installation of Kitchen Sink – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of stainless-steel double bowl kitchen sink with aqua
vista commercial style pull-down matte black kitchen sink faucet and strainers,
inclusive of the supply and installation of all Schedule 40 PVC fittings and connection
of supply line (cold and hot water) and waste lines and ensure the fixture is functional
on completion of works.

Installation of Water Heater – Male Washroom

•Supply and installation of one(1) wall mount water heater to supply hot
water for fixtures in mail washroom. Heater is to be supply with Schedule 40 PVC
fittings and connection of supply line and ensure the fixture is functional on
completion of works.

Guttering

•Supply and installation guttering inclusive of down pipes on Grid line ( 18 ) Ensure
the outflow enters the exterior drainage on completion of works.

•Cleen and repairs are to be done on guttering at back along Grid line

( 21 ). Change all down pipes. Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on
completion of works.

Bay #2 Kitchen

Installation of Kitchen Sink & Water Dispenser – Machine Shop

•Supply and installation of stainless-steel single bowl kitchen sink with goose
neck kitchen sink faucet (cold only) and strainers, inclusive of the supply and
installation of all Sch 40 PVC pipes & DWV waste fittings.

Installation of pipework for Bottle less Water Dispenser and connection of

supply line and waste lines and ensure the fixture is functional on completion of
works.

Installation of Vanity – Kitchen

•Supply and installation of one (1) no. vanity (approximate dimension of

6’ – 0” (length) * 2’ – 0” (depth) * 3’ – 0” (height)) with two (2) no. rectangular
elevated porcelain sink with two (2) no. marine grade and corrosion resistant goose

•Supply and installation guttering inclusive of down pipes on Grid line ( E )

Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on completion of works.

•Cleen and repairs are to be done on guttering at back along Grid line ( B ).

Change all down pipes. Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on
completion of works.

•Supply and installation of guttering inclusive of down pipes for Kitchen.

Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on completion of works.

Bay #1-Change Room

Installation of Kitchen Sink – Change Room

•Supply and installation of stainless-steel single bowl kitchen sink with goose
neck kitchen sink faucet (cold only) and strainers, inclusive of the supply and
installation of all Sch 40 PVC pipes & DWV waste fittings and connection of supply line
and waste lines and ensure the fixture is functional on completion of works.

•Supply and installation of one (1) no. vanity (approximate dimension of

6’ – 0” (length) * 2’ – 0” (depth) * 3’ – 0” (height)) with two (2) no. rectangular

 B a y # 1 & 2 - Installation of Eye Wash Station

•Supply and installation of two (2) eye wash station inclusive of all required
fittings, Schedule 40 supply lines and SDR 32.5 waste lines with DWV waste fittings
connected to waste connection and ensure system if functional on completion of
works.

B a y # 1 & 3 Installation of Water Trouf

•Installation of all pipework for two (2) water trouf inclusive of all required
fittings, Schedule 40 supply lines and SDR 32.5 waste lines with DWV waste fittings and
connection of supply line and waste lines and ensure the fixture is functional on
completion of works.

Guttering

•Supply and installation of PVC guttering inclusive of down pipes on Grid line
( C ) to replace existi ng galvanize gutt ering. Ensure the outflow enters the
exterior drainage on completion of works.

•Cleen and repairs are to be done on guttering at back along Grid line ( B ).

Change all down pipes. Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on
completion of works.

•Supply and installation of guttering and down pipes along Grid line ( E ).
Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on completion of works.

Yard Tap

•Supply and installation of two (2) yard taps, one at the water trouf and one
at Grid lines ( C-6 ) inclusive of all required fittings, Schedule 40 supply connected to
the supply line and ensure the fixture is functional on completion of works.
 Bay #3- Yard Tap

•Supply and installation of one (1) yard tap, at Grid lines ( B-17 ) inclusive of
all required fittings, Schedule 40 supply connected to the supply line and ensure the
fixture is functional on completion of works.

Guttering

•Supply and installation guttering inclusive of down pipes on Grid line ( 18 )

Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on completion of works.

•Cleen and repairs are to be done on guttering at back along Grid line ( E ).

Change all down pipes. Ensure the outflow enters the exterior drainage on
completion of works.
