Modern science and technology have made great contributions to enhance life quality.
Unfortunately, population across the world is worn out because of daily fast-paced duties.
Consequently, modern lifestyles are endangering our health.
In one hand, people have an unbalance diet. As we commute all day, we have little
time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals are replaced for snacks without nutritional
value. The lack of appropriate food and the stress can lead to gastritis, nervous breakdown,
anxiety, or even depression.
On the other hand, daily tasks are so consuming that few people can exercise. This
damages our physical and mental health because the body and the brain have no chance to
relax, rest, and recover energy.
Finally, current free-time activities impoverish health. People prefer to spend
weekends watching TV, playing videogames, or surfing the internet rather than doing
outdoor activities. Remaining stick to technological devices keeps the human systems
alienated.
To sum up, modern life is time-consuming and overwhelming. Therefore, it
damages physical and mental health as there is little opportunity to have a balance diet,
exercise, and enjoy free time far from technology.
