NABARD Grade A 2022: Mains Exam Pattern

This is an objective and descriptive type online test. Now, Let’s understand the NABARD Grade-A Exam
Pattern for Mains Exam which is consists of

Paper I – Common for all posts

Paper-II – Different for all posts

Given below is the detailed exam pattern of the NABARD Grade-A officer mains exam.

Separate Admission Letters will be issued for Paper - I and Paper - II (Conducted in two shifts with a
gap of One Hour). The time-table for Phase-II will be intimated to the candidates concerned along
with Admission Letter for Phase-II.

Economics and Social Issue (Same for Prelim and Mains)

I. Banking and Economy Current Affairs - Prepare Banking News specially RBI, SEBI and Other
Regulatory Body in News on priority, also cover news related to Public sector and Private sector banks,
GDP Data, Loans and Advances and news related to business sector.

• Last 3-4 months for Prelim and 6-9 months for Mains exam.

II. Union Budget and Economic Survey: It is must even you can expect Questions in Descriptive Answer
Writing, so cover all the terminology or anything new discussed in Economic Survey, do go through the gist
of Union Budget, note down all the allocations to different ministry and flagship programs, see if any new
programs have been launched.

III. Reports and Indices: Focus on RBI reports, NITI Aayog, any other national report then World Bank,
IMF, OECD, UNDP, UN-DESA, UNCTAD, UNESCO (Related to Education) or any report which talk related
to Poverty, Employment, Inequality, Education, Health, Status of Women and Economy.

IV. Government Schemes - Major Flagship programs of Govt of India, Programs which completed 2-7
years of launch anniversary, recently launched schemes in last one year and then Cover PIB summary
from Jan 2022 - You can Buy PIB Summary from Here. For Flagship scheme make your own notes from
Ministry website.

• Related Ministry: Finance, MSME, Labour, Health, Education, Women, Social Justice, Tribal and
Commerce.

V. Summits in News - Cover all the Important summits like G20, G7, BIMSTEC, ASEAN, QUAD etc

What to do for ESI Descriptive Section: -

In NABARD Phase II Exam, ESI and ARD comes under single as mentioned above in syllabus
although for better understanding and clarity, I'm providing you details separately.

Descriptive can be based on Current Topic which is connected to our syllabus like Rising Inflation,
Unemployment, Poverty, Geopolitics and Various Groups like QUAD and Its recent initiatives, 12th WTO
Ministerial summit, Recent Economic Reforms such as new labour Law, Sustainable Development and
Climate Change, New FTA etc.

It can also be based on static topics mentioned in our syllabus, below are the priority chapters:-

Agriculture Static: It has significant weightage in Prelim and mains exam, so covering the basics of it is
most important. You can refer any summary PDF or master notes, but if you have time follow any standard
book either R K Sharma or Arun Katyan Vol-I (It covers only 3-4 Units)

• Arun Katyan Vol - I: Agronomy (Means chapters under basic agriculture), Soil Science and
Extension. Only these units are covered. R K Sharma covers more chapters.

• Important Agriculture Static Topics – Basic Agriculture, Soil & Its Types, Fisheries, Animal
Husbandry, Forestry, Irrigation Management, Agriculture Extension, Ecology and Climate Change.

Programs and Policies: Generally, two types of programs are asked one is flagship programs and another
are programs in news or recently lunched. For flagship cover it ministry wise and for In news use PIB
Summary PDF.

• Agriculture Related Ministry - Agriculture, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Food Processing,
Animal Husbandry, Jal Shakti, Environment and Climate Change, Consumer Affairs (Mainly
Production, MSP and Procurement Data)
Agriculture Current Affairs: Not much comes from this segment, only 3-4 questions generally related to
recent digital initiatives or some other news, before exam you will compilation, although I have covered till
May 2022 in PIB Summary - May PDF.
