General Requirements for the Inspection of Equipment
• Anti-two-blocking devices shall be installed, inspected and maintained on main
blocks and auxiliary whip lines and shall be of the type that stops the lifting
function and winch of the crane affected by the device.
• Boom Hi-Angle limit (Boom Kick-out) devices shall be installed, inspected and
maintained on all lattice boom type cranes and be of the type that stops the

• The main hoist load block and auxiliary hoist headache ball shall be painted
with a highly visible paint for maximum visibility.
• All cranes with a maximum rated load capacity of 3 tons or more shall be fitted
with a weight indicator. Weight indicators shall be maintained in operational
condition at all times of use.
