The agenda was unanimously approved by the Local Youth Development Assistant I, Lindsey
Kriztelle O. Dona and SK Federation Vice President-OIC Hon. Janelthon Moises S. Cabag.

Approval of Minutes:

The minutes of the previous meeting was unanimously approved as distributed.

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order by the Local Youth Development Assistant I, Lindsey Kriztelle
O. Dona, and SK Federation Vice President-OIC Hon. Janelthon Moises S. Cabag on July 26,
2023. The meeting convened at 8:34 am.

General Overview

The meeting was led by the LYDA-I. She thanked and welcome everyone the full force of SK
Council and Department Heads for attending the meeting. LYDA-I introduced the upcoming
event on August 12, 2023, which is the Linggo ng Kabataan 2023 with the theme: Green
Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World. The event was coinciding with International
Youth Day which falls on the same date. She summarized the meeting held last July 5, 2023,
that SK Council has done voting on various activities, and the following programs won as of
July 15, 2023:
1. Color Funrun
2. Tree Planting
3. Youth Encounter
4. Youth Empowerment Symposium for Bautista (YES Bautista)

She calls the attention of SFO3 Jonathan S. Velasquez to seek water assistance for the Color
Fun run on August 13, 2023, at the Municipal Grounds and Tree Planting on August 12, 2023,
at Barangay Diaz. Sir Velasquez immediately agreed to the said request. In addition to this, Sir
Velasquez also requested SK Council to participate in their Tree Planting Project this coming
August, and SK Councils show their interest in helping the Bureau of Fire and Protection. Ms.
Lindsey Also called the attention of Ma’am Myrna Mendoza, Midwife II of Municipal Health
Office for the Medical Assistance in the Color Fun run and she said that she will relay it to Dr.
Geranyl Laguardia after his out-of-town seminar. Ma’am Rochelle Florendo as a MENRO of
LGU-Bautista suggested the color fun run to have a twist on it since the theme of LNK is with
regards to the environment. Including the non-biodegradable trash-picking along the race area.
Participants who got the heaviest load of trash and who come first will win the cash prize
allotted on the budget of MENRO and the said event will call “Eco-Color Funrun”. For the tree
planting, the Center for Disaster Preparedness (CDP) call their interest to the Local Youth
Development Office on the SK’s Linggo ng Kabataan. As CDP’s representative, Mr. Roland
Pereyra said that he already coordinated with DENR Region 1 and these are their
recommendations:
1. Coordinate with MENRO to request seedlings on CENRO Dagupan. According to
CENRO Dagupan, Mangium and Kasoy seedlings are available as of now and they are
willing to assess and identify the area for the tree planting and;
2. Find parents on adopting trees for the concept of sustainability. Like the various
organizations of Barangay Diaz supported by the resolution or MOA, it is also possible
to get funds from BDRRM, SK Council, and GAD.

Ma’am Florendo will coordinate with Ms. Lindsey after the meeting for the plans to be done in
coordinating with the CENRO Dagupan. Sir Aries B. Aquino of the LDRRMO office also
initiates his interest to coordinate with the CDP for additional assistance for the Color Fun run
and Tree Planting. All in all, CDP, MDRRMO, and MENRO collaborated on the said SK’s event
for the Linggo ng Kabataan.

After the discussion of two major events, Ms. Lindsey call the attention of the Youth
Coordinator of St. John the Baptist Parish, Sir Justin Joshua Q. Valdez, and Sir Christian
Gaspar- SJBYP

YORP Representative, for the third major event which is the Youth Encounter on August 11-
13, 2023. Sir Valdez and Sir Gaspar laid down the needed requirements for the event.
Participants must be single and aged 15-39 years old. If the number of participants exceeded
30, Youth Encounter must be held at wide spaces such as schools or covered courts. Ms.
Lindsey agreed to their request and will coordinate with Bautista Central School Sped Center
to use their area for the event since they are expecting two (2) participants per barangay (18
Barangays x 2 participants). Sir Valdez also laid down the other church activities if the SK
Council will change their plan. Ma’am Gloria A. Isip, PESO Manager show her full support for
the spiritual activities of SK Council and said that all activities of each individual must start the
communication with God. She is also ready for advice and other guidance for the SK
Chairpersons on the said event.

After the Youth Encounter matters, Ms. Lindsey called the attention of PEMS Shiela De Leon
to lead the Youth Empowerment Symposium for Bautista (YES Bautista) for the 18 Barangays
in connection to the Anti-Illegal Drugs, and other illegal acts that is relevant to the youth
nowadays. The said event will be supported by the DILG led by the MLGOO VI Ma’am Merlyn
O. De Sesto.

Lastly, Hon. Janelthon Moises S. Cabag said that they will build committees for each event
together with the LYDO Office and SK Council. There being no matters to discuss, the meeting
was adjourned.
