News and Announcements

I am looking forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday evening for Curriculum Night at 6:30pm. We will meet in our classroom first (room 207) for 45 minutes. After that, Mr. Mabie will invite you down to the cafeteria for a brief talk. The evening should be complete by 7:30pm. As you enter the room, please find your childs desk and read the letter they have left for you. They will be anxiously awaiting your response. If you are unable to attend Curriculum Night, please let me know, as I will need to prepare a packet of important information for you. Please remember to sign up for a parent conference time while you are in the room. Graded assessment pieces will come home to you in a golden-colored envelope every couple weeks. I will let you know when the envelopes will be coming home ahead of time. Once at home, please look over the papers with your child, sign the envelope and then return the papers to school the following day. I will be meeting with Literature Circle groups this week. Groups 1 and 2 will meet on Monday. Groups 3 and 4 will meet on Tuesday and Group 5 will meet on Wednesday. Please check in with your children to see if they are prepared to meet with their group to discuss their completed Think Cards and the weeks reading. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. The best way to contact me is by using my school e-mail address at stravers@shrewsbury.k12.ma.us. You should also feel free to send in a note to school. I am looking forward to a wonderful year! Warmly, Sandra Travers
