(Write at least 150 words)

YOUR ANSWER
The pictorial diagram illustrates information regarding the intake of fish and
different kinds of meat namely chicken, beef, and lamb in a European nation
over the course of 25 years commencing in 1979. Overall, there was a stark
contrast between the trajectory of beef and chicken consumption.
Furthermore, fish was the least favored preference.

Beef was by far the most favored form of meat during the initial ten years with
the highest figure recorded at approximately 240 grams. Afterward, the figure
witnessed a steady drop, hitting a low of 100 grams in 2004.

Regarding the intake of chicken, a person consumed below 150 grams of

chicken per week in 1979 which was relatively lower compared to that of beef
and lamb. The figure then gradually climbed and overtook beef to become the
top preference from 1989 onwards.

The consumption of lamps ranked second in the first year, then underwent
mild fluctuation, hitting a trough of roughly 60 in the last year. Similarly, the
figure for fish underwent a plateau and negligible changes throughout the
examined period, registering just below 50 grams in 2004

WRITING TASK 2
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Spoken communication is more powerful than written communication. To what extent
do you agree or disagree?
(Write at least 250 words)

YOUR ANSWER
Many people argue that verbal communication is an efficacious form of idea
delivery in comparison with oral one. From my perspective, the effectiveness
of both types is decided based on different situations.

To begin with, spoken communication is quintessential when it comes to facial

expression needs. This can be explained by the fact that verbal communication
consents to emotional expression, facilitating mutual understanding among
people. Daily conversation serves as an exemplary case when sending icons in
messages cannot completely convey what the sender means. Therefore, face-
to-face conversation acts as a channel where people can comprehend the
genuine emotions of others through facial signs in a straightforward channel.

By contrast, oral communication serves as a substantive tool in many formal

situations that entails clarity and correctness. This is because written
communication is a process of both thinking and rectifying the information so
as to deliver the most conciseness, averting circumstances when the sentence
contains trifling remarks. This is perfectly examined in the case of law when
speech without evidence becomes impotent. Furthermore, in business cases,
sending information related to promotions or sales to targeted people is more
expedient than having a face-to-face conversation.

In conclusion, while spoken communication aids in the process of expressing

emotions and strengthen mutual understanding in daily conversation, written
communication becomes essential in formal cases that require cogent and
coherent rationales such as law and business environments.
