1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure describes the requirements for ensuring that the operations and activities
associated with significant HSE aspects/ hazards are carried out under specified control
conditions to minimize the potential HSE impact/risk.

2.0 SCOPE
This procedure covered from identification of required operational control until implementation
and review of operational control.

7.0 PROCEDURE DETAILS


7.1 Identification of Required Operational Control Processes
7.1.1 The HSEMR and respective HODs shall identify operations and activities
that need to be controlled base on the “Hazards, Risk and Control
Register” and “Aspect Impact Analysis” to prevent deviation from HSE
Policy, Objectives and Targets.
7.1.2 All significant hazard and environmental aspects shall be identified as
processes which required operational control.
7.1.3 The HSEMR and respective HOD shall ensure that the subcontractor
working in the Company’s shall follow the prescribed operation controls
in order to achieve and maintain the HSE objective and targets.

7.2 Processes Establish HSE Operation Control


7.2.1 The respective HOD shall establish relevant Work Instruction (where
necessary) & records to ensure the operations and activities are controlled.
7.2.2 Work Instructions should be documented in those situations where the
absence of such documentation could result in:
a) Deviation from the HSE Policy
b) Not achieving HSE objectives and targets
c) Causing a potentially risk
d) Potential regulatory non-compliance
7.2.3 Whenever new process, service or equipment is introduced, the HSE
Committee shall determine if it has any risk that requires additional
operational control systems.

7.3 Implementation and Review


7.3.1 HSEMR & HSE Committee shall implement the controls related to
purchased goods, equipment and services where their absence could lead
to deviations from the HSE Policy and the objectives.
7.3.2 The respective HOD shall implement the applicable operational control.
7.3.3 Operational control system documents shall be made available at the work
area or notice board, whenever possible for easy access.
7.3.4 The effectiveness of the operational control will be reviewed during the
HSE Committee/management review meeting, where the HSE
performance indicators are monitored
