QUESTION:

Suppose, you work at a Sales Department of an esteemed organization. You are discussing
with your subordinate, Salman the ways through which you can increase the sales and
revenue of your organization in the coming year. You are setting goals and determining what
success would look like. You both are engaged in MBO. You are supposed to make ONE
plan for each type of plan (specific, directional, short term, long term, strategic, operational,
single use and standing plan) totaling to 08 different plans.

ANSWER:

Strategic plan: we will do a SWOT analysis of the organization so that we can make the best
strategy to achieve our goal by working on our weaknesses and threats.

Operational plan: launch new products according to the new technology and trends in the
market.

Long term plan: we make our promotion and marketing better on social media because it is
a large platform.

Short term plan: give exclusive discounts and great offers to attract the costumers and gain
exposure.

Directional plan: focus on costumer’s satisfaction and build a trust because “once a
costumer, always a customer”.

Specific plan: give value to money products, make reliable products and don’t compromise
on quality.

Single use plan: do a collaboration with a reputed brand so that our product is presented to a
large number of people and people become convinced to try it because of the reputed brand.

Standing plan: give good customer care, make user friendly website for purchasing and any
type of query related to product or any type of complains.
