SUBJECT: 9 Enhancement English

TITLE OF TASK: Argument Analysis

TASK DESCRIPTION:
Students are to answer a series of questions in response to an article and then write an analysis of the way
that argument and language is used to coerce readers in a persuasive text.

TASK OUTLINE:
The assessment will be completed in two parts:

Part A: students will have 45 minutes to read the persuasive article and complete a series of questions in
response to the persuasive text.

Part B: students will have 90 minutes to write a full analytical essay in response to the same article from
Part A of the task. Students will have to write an introduction, two main bod paragraphs and a conclusion.
