DORMITION FAST: In order to prepare for the Feast Day of
the Dormition celebrated on Monday, August 28th we as
Orthodox Christians are encouraged to observe a fasting
period which will begin on Monday August 14th. Please observe
accordingly to the regulations set by the church.

PRAY FOR VOCATIONS TO THE HOLY

PRIESTHOOD: Our diocese is in need of vocations to the
Holy Priesthood. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will
encourage young men to take up the challenge of being a
Priest. If interested in seeking out a vocation, please see
Father John for more information.
SUMMER IS HERE: As we enter the summer months, you
are encouraged to meet the challenges we face with
mounting bills. Please be generous and make an effort to
help us out by making extra effort in donations. Your help
in this matter is greatly appreciated.
FEAST DAYS IN AUGUST!
SATURDAY:AUGUST 19th: Feast of the Transfiguration:
Divine Liturgy at 10 AM: Blessing of fruit after the Divine
Liturgy.
MONDAY: AUGUST 28th: Feast of the Dormition: Divine
Liturgy at 10 AM: Blessing of flowers after the Divine Liturgy.
Please continue to observe the Dormition Fast until August
28th.
CONGRATULATIONS are extended to Michael, Kimberly
and Mackenzie on the birth of their daughter and sister
Mikayla May Morvay born on June 29th of this year. Also,
extend Congratulations to Protodeacon John and Matushka
Donnalynn Morvay on the birth of their granddaughter.
Mikayla will receive the sacrament of Baptism and Holy
Anointing of Chrismation by His Eminence Archbishop
Michael on Saturday, August 26th at 11AM here at Saint
Mary’s. May God Grant to the Newborn Mikayla and her
family Many Blessed Years!

PARISH COUNCIL INITIATIVES: It has come to our

attention that a few minor problems have come up at our
Parish Home and need immediate attention. We would like
to start up our monthly luncheons, but we are facing a
septic problem that needs to be addressed. We have been
blessed with a donation for a new dishwasher, but we are
in need of new faucets and cabinet work in order to get this
done, along with a few other odds and ends.
With these projects comes the cost of getting the work
done. We are now seeking donations to help us defray the
cost of these items. If you would like to help donate, please
see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to help meet the
cost of these projects. Whatever you can donate will be
greatly appreciated. Cost estimates are around $5,000.
SPECIAL THANK YOU to all of our benefactors who,
when called upon, answer our plea for donations to keep
our church moving forward! We are grateful for your
kindness and greatly appreciate everything you do to
support us faithfully. We extend our Blessings to You and
call upon Our Lord to Grant you Peace, Health, and
Prosperity for Many Blessed Years!
STEWARDSHIP DONATIONS may be brought to the
church or mailed to the church office. Online donations
may be made through PayPal on our church website.

weekly and monthly donations. You, our faithful, have
been generous in support of our Parish through tough
times, and we still need to catch up on a few things. So
