YVETTE TURNS 18: AN 18TH BIRTHDAY SCRIPT

EMCEE1: Good evening everyone! Welcome to Preconcillo’s residence!


Welcome to a night of pastel colors in celebration of a wonderful life for a girl
who is now turning into a fine lady. This is quite a very important event in her
life and she is very much honor for your presence. Like Wendy in the movie
Peter Pan, no more fairy tale stories every night. She is now a real lady as
she stepped onto the much higher level of what we call LIFE. Ladies and
gentlemen, sit back as we groove, jive and enjoy her party tonight…

EMCEE2: To spiritually open, Yvette’s 18th birthday celebration , let us all


stand, let us all feel the presence, ask guidance and give thanks to Lord
God Almighty through a prayer to be led to us by Ms. Ailyn Bunao.

EMCEE2: Thank you Ailyn.

EMCEE1: Okay at this juncture, it is my great honor to introduce to you all


her special guests for tonight. First are the 18 roses. Like a flower that
blooms and exudes its sweet scents to attract bees and butterflies, the
debutant will be swarmed later on by 18 equally gentlemen who are here
with us tonight.

EMCEE2: Next would be the 18 candles. This afternnon/Tonight, ladies and


gentlemen, I present to you these 18 Wishers for our debutant. These are
the people close to the heart of our celebrant, and whom she listens and
confides to for inspiring words and friendly advices.

EMCEE2: Then we have also here the 18 treasures who will offer gifts that
symbolizes the things that the debutant will be receiving in this momemntous
ocassion.

EMCEE1: And finally, the debutant’s family member!!!! Without them, her life
would be empty and unhappy. Let us all give a big round of applause to honor
all the people whom she truly loved. Sabi nga nila, marami tayong
mahahanap na kapuso, pero iisa lang ang ating kapamilya. Let me introduce
them to you one by one, starting from debutant’s father, Mr. Domingo
Preconcillo; and her mother, Mrs. Maricel Preconcillo together with her one
and only loving kuya, Mark Jhaven Preconcillo. Her Lolo and Lola, Mr. And
Mrs. Nelson Brutas, Tito’s and Tita’s, pretty and caring cousins as well as
the other relatives who are not here tonight but have extended their love and
support to our loving debutant.
GRAND ENTRANCE OF THE DEBUTANT

EMCEE2: Tonight is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of the


life God has given to our lovely celebrant. And now.......guests, friends,
ladies and gentlemen let us put our hands together, as we welcome the
main highlight of this celebration, and as she stepped into a higher level of
life, with her is her escort, her loving Kuya, Mr. Mark Jhaven Preconcillo,
ladies and gentlemen, our debutant, the one and only, MS. YVETTE
PRECONCILLO

Grand Entrance of Debutant

EMCEE2: Wow, blooming and lovely, indeed! (Adlib)

EMCEE1: Ms. Yvette Preconcillo is the one and only daughter of Mr. And
Mrs. Domingo Preconcillo. She is a Grade 12 TVL students of Polytechnic
Institute of Tabaco (PITA). She is a loving and caring daughter as well as a
supportive sister. She is also an outgoing friend and a friend who can lean
to. She is known for being industrious especially in doing household
chores.

She is very gorgeous tonigth with her pink and elegant gown, once again,
our debutant, Ms. Yvette Preconcillo!!!

RANDOM INTERVIEW

EMCEE1: Okay ,so, while we are preparing for the next part of the party,
let’s have a random interview. We know that all of you here are closest to
our dear debutant at this point magtatanong kami guys!

EMCEE2: Who is YVETTE nga ba, in the real sense of word? Of course
aside from being a kind and responsible daughter, friend or classmate
maybe, there are things that some people know but not known to others.
Let’s find out as we randomly ask some quirky, trivial and even personal
questions to some of our important guests here?

What can you say of her when she was a child?

In one word, how can you describe Yvette?

EMCEE1&2: Okay, thank you everyone.


EMCEE2: Nag enjoy ba tayong lahat? Seems like our gorgeous debutant
really enjoyed tonight. From the things, memories and answers from the
questions and trivia a while ago, Yvette has definitely shared a part of her
growing years with all of us. At sabi nga ni mareng Willa Cather? “Where
there is great love, there are always wishes.” Because birthdays are always
new beginnings, new endeavors with new set of goals, sending birthday
messages and wishes is a tradition especially in our country, where we
give high value to family ties and relationship.

EMCEE 1: Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you these 18


Wishers for our debutant. These are the people close to the heart of our
celebrant, and whom she listens and confides to for inspiring words and
friendly advices. Starting off with the woman dearest to Yvette’s heart,
representing the first candle that will be a source of light for all the well-
wishers for our dear debutant, here’s her lovely cousin, Ms. Angela

be rendered to us by Ms. Tonnilyn Palermo.

EMCEE1: Thank you Ms. Tonnilyn.

EMCEE2: So friends, 18 special selected persons are here to present the


tokens, the gifts or treasures to be exact that best depict our debutant’s
personality. Now let us one at time get to know these 18 special treasures.

EMCEE1: Like a pretty flower that attracts bees and butterflies, Yvette will
be surrounded by 18 equally handsome gentlemen who will represent the
debutant’s 18 roses. This flower equates the traditional 18 roses during
debuts. For a quick trivia, roses is Yvette’s favorite flower.

EMCEE2:The first dance is reserved to the very close and handsome


cousin, ladies and gentlemen, the first of the eighteen roses, Mr. Dominic

Mark Jhaven Preconcillo.

EMCEE2: The father and daughter dance is probably one of the most loved
traditions in any Filipino debut celebration. This signifies the daughter’s first
step to womanhood and the father’s acceptance of this period in his
daughter’s life. May we have, Mr. Domingo Prencillo, the suportive and
loving father of our celebrant to be here for the special dance.

MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION

EMCEE1: What is the essence of this celebration without further knowing


some of the important information of our debutant? Again, sit back (because
dinner is ready… no just kidding…) As I said, sit back and be amazed about
the video presentation we prepared just for you. Roll VTR!!!!

Debutant makes a wish and blowing of the cake.

EMCEE2: Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of


gratitude in response to a wonderful experience like this one can be
contained in an overwhelming thank you. Maraming salamat po for making
me a part of this memorable occasion. And if there’s one person here
tonight who is more than grateful to see all of you, that would be our
beloved celebrant, Yvette. I’m giving the floor to our dear debutant to give
her message for all of us.

EMCEE2: The night is young, and so are we, diba? Are you ready to party?
We have just actually started. Again, thank you for having me here to
celebrate with all of you. Isang malakas na “Happy birthday, Yvette! naman
diyan. At the count of three…1, 2, 3, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dette!!! This is
