ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON
REMEMEDIAL READING S.Y. 2021-2022

I. INTRODUCTION

As a foundation for learning across all subjects, literacy can be used for recreation and
personal growth, while simultaneously providing young children with the ability to
participate more extensively in their communities and societies. Being able to read is an
avenue for personal and social growth. A child can fully view ever winding horizons and
explores areas in the world of people, things, and events through reading. Indeed, the key to
success is through reading; hence, proficiency in reading is vital to the continuous growth and
development of the child.

At the beginning of the class 2021-2022 (September, 2021), the Grade 3 class of Rafael
Palma Elementary School conducted reading assessment. The program aims to select and identify
pupils who will undergo on the remedial reading and to assess the reading level of the pupils through
giving Pre-test.

After the reading assessment, the teacher will prepare different interventions that will suit the
learners needs to improve their reading skills.

II. CONDUCTED ACTIVITIES

To increase the reading proficiency of the grade 3 pupils by presenting engaging activities is
one of the objectives of this program. Stated below are the list of activities that were done
during the remedial reading process:

 Reading comprehension through short stories using two-way radio


 Home visitation
 Reading materials distribution

Grade 3 parents and other stakeholders were involved in the Remedial Reading. They were
given instructions regarding the activities and also were ask to extend their help in the said
program by monitoring and continuously guiding their children at home when it comes in reading.
