Course Description

The course highlights the nature, scope, aims, objectives and administrative structure
of secondary education in Pakistan. It distinguishes among various types of levels
and their curriculum development. It evaluates secondary education in comparative
perspective. It particularly discusses training of teachers and associated problems,
trends and issues with reference to secondary education.

Learning Outcomes:
Expected that after completion of this course, the trainee teachers would be able to :
Discuss need, importance and scope of secondary education
Explain the targets and objectives of secondary education in Pakistan
Elaborate the problems of teachers’ training at secondary school level

Describe the trends and issues of secondary education in Pakistan
