LAC NARRATIVE REPORT 1st Session
Excerpt from the minutes of the meeting of SHS 1B, 1C, and 1D 1st LAC Session held last March 1,
2023 at eight o’clock in the morning at Senior High School (SHS) Computer Laboratory, San
Fernando, National High School.
Present
TOPIC:
Teaching had emerged through the years. There are changes because of the status quo
we have right now. Teachers have to be resourceful to cater the needs of every learner. Now
that we are experiencing global health crisis, we have to be extra and more resourceful
because the situation limits our actions.
During the First Session of SHS 1B, 1C and 1D, Professional Enhancement had been
emphasized by the different facilitators assigned. The first part is all about the orientation and
launching. It was focused on orienting the members on the content of the LAC Session.
The session was started with a prayer given by Ma’am Shanelle Trisha Olitoquit
followed by the Philippine National Anthem. The Subject Group Head Mr. Joel Doblon
delivered his welcome address to the participants. He emphasized the importance of attending
the LAC Session. According to him, LAC session is a good way to work with each other
collaboratively.
After his welcome address, Mr. Arlando A. Imperial Assistant Principal for
Academics gave his message. He focused on the goals of the Department of Education and
that is for the teachers to be well-equipped in providing quality education to the students. And
with the rigorous training like LAC session is salient for each teacher.
The orientation proper was discussed by the project proponent Mr. Roberto M.
Balane. He elaborates the different topics to be tackled during the LAC session. Each one has
given a topic to discuss. After his orientation he immediately discussed professional
enhancement among teachers. After the discussion, Mr. Balane tasked the groups to fill out
the Matrix about Professional Enhancement. After brainstorming they finally arrived on a
concrete output. There are also series of activities and exercises given. The group were
actually challenged but nevertheless, they successfully finished all the tasks.
The half day-session was quite exhausting but the members still managed to manifest
positivity with their smiles. The closing remarks of the Subject Group Head finally concluded
the session. The session ends at exactly 12:00 noon.
