 I. General Guidelines

As per the requirements of Karnataka State Law University and Kristu Jaynati College
of Law, all the students of 5 years B.A.,/BB.A.,/B.Com., LL.B. shall complete
internship during the semester breaks

 Students are suggested to do intership for a period of 4 weeks during every

semester break.
 1st year law students shall do their internship under a NGO (environmental
NGO, Human Rights NGO, Child Rights NGO etc.)
 2nd year – 5th year law students shall do their internship under Trial and
Appellate
 Advocate, Judiciary, Local Self Government, Legal Regulatory Authorities
(IRDA,TRAI, SEBI, PFRDA etc.), Legislature and Parliament, Other Legal
Functionaries, (NHRC, SHRC, NALSA, KALSA etc.) Law Firm, Legal
Department of any Corporate Company, Banks etc.
 Internship under a Trial and Appellate Advocate is mandatory at least once in
the entire course.
 Internships done during class hours will not be recognized. Students can take
up internship after class hours or during semester holidays.
 Internships taken during semester holidays have to be completed before the
Commencement of the next semester.
 Internship should be done offline mode only
 Students are advised not to do internship continuously in one organization or
institution for more than 4 weeks.
 Students are required to maintain internship diary in the prescribed format.
 Students who require bonafide certificate for the purpose of internship have to
mail the details to lawoffice@kristujayanti.com.
 Students are required to maintain “Daily Internship Diary in the prescribed
format.
 Student must mail/submit “DAILY INTERNSHIP REPORT” to the
respective faculty in charge on a daily basis.
 Student should submit the “DAILY INTERNSHIP REPORT” along with
Internship Certificate (Copy) at the end of their internship to the Faculty
Coordinators in the respected format and spiral binding manner only (2 sets –
original and Xerox)
 The internship certificate shall contain the following information: (certificate
shall be in the letter head of the organization/institution)
 Student Name, Class & University Registration Number.
 Name of the College
 Duration of internship along with dates.
 Area of internship
 Date, seal and signature of authority.
