Introduction

 A pleasant afternoon everyone especially to our dear panelists.

 Before we formally start our presentation, let me introduce our group. My name is name,
together with my co-researchers Ahron , Christian and John Lloyd.

 In the province of specifically in municipality ohyphoons and floods often occur. The
municipality of is a landlocked in the coastal province of LIPAD30 25 year flood hazard map
showed shapefile illustrating the geological phenomenon of Amulung area which has high
medium and low risk probability of being flooded. The municipality of has always experienced
flooding during the typhoon season. Because of the rivers location, l acts as a catch basin for
the runoff water from upstream and mainstream areas and dwindling numbers of forest and
native trees in these areas haved worsened the flooding in the lowland Municipalities of
specially Barangay.

 For the reason, we, the researchers have come up with the study entitled
“IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT IN FLOOD PRONE
BARANGAYS PHILIPPINES ESPECIALLY IN BARANGAY.

Reasons of the study

It is fair to wonder why we have chosen this particular topic to deal with.

 The reasons why we pursue this study is because,

First, it is contemporary and occurring issue

Second, it allow us to determine the implementation of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management in
flood prone Barangays in

Lastly, it can provide useful data/information.

For the statement of the problem and significance of the study here is Mr. Ahron

Statement of the problem

 Specifically, it seeks to answer the following sub-problems : What is the demographic

profile of the r espondents in terms of their NAME, AGE, SEX and their LENGTH OF RESIDENCY.
r

 Next is to determine the perception of the local residence of the readiness of the Barangay
council in Disaster Risk Reduction in terms of;

2.1 Human Resources – is the set of people who make up the workforce of an organization,
business sector, industry, or economy. A narrower concept is human capital, the knowledge and skills
which the individuals command. Similar terms include manpower, labor, personnel, associates or

so that the organization can reach its stated vision.

 Lastly, is there a significant difference on the perception of the respondent towards the
readiness and accomplishments of the barangay in relation to the logistical assets readiness
about the barangay risk reduction and management.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The study can be beneficial to:

3 First is THE COMMUNITY where This study is beneficial to the constituents so that they will be
aware and have knowledge about disaster risk reduction.

4 Lastly, We, the RESEARCHERS where For future purposes, the result of this study could be used as a
source of a secondary data for respective future related research. The researcher intended to enrich
and upgrade the knowledge of the reader about climate change and how it affects the lives of
people if a disaster strikes.

For the conceptual framework and methodology here is Mr.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

 Figure 1 shows the conceptual model of the study. For this study the researcher follows input-
process-output or IPO model. The first frame presents the input of the study that includes the
statement of the problem. The second frame presents the process of the study. The third frame
which is the output which doesn’t present something because were still in the process.

Research Design

The research design chosen is Quantitative method where it attempts to .Descriptive survey design
such as

Research environments

The research will be conducted at Barangay that were prone from flood.
Respondents and Sampling Procedure

Local Residence of Barangay

Stratified Random Sampling Technique- it is a method of sampling that involves the division of a
population into smaller subgroups known as strata. In stratified random sampling, or stratification, the
strata are formed based on member’s shared attributes or characteristics, such as income or educational
attaintment.

Research Instrument and Data Gathering Tools

We will be using Checklist Questionnaire in gathering relevant and necessary data’s for our
research.

Statistical Treatment of Procedures

We will be using Statistical Methods
