Subject : Prohibi on Cu ng Down Trees at Common Area

Dear Valued Owner and Residents,

We would like to emphasize the importance of tree preserva on in our township. It has come to our
a en on that some residents have been removing trees without obtaining approvals from the
relevant authori es and our Township Management. Our objec ve is not only to preserve the trees
but also to maintain the natural beauty of our community and support a healthy and thriving
ecosystem. Trees play a vital role in biodiversity, preven ng soil erosion, and absorbing carbon
dioxide, thereby helping to mi gate the effects of climate change.

In light of the above, we wish to remind all residents that tree removal is strongly discouraged in our
township. However, in cases where trees pose risks to human life or proper es, tree removal should
be considered as a last resort. We aim to enforce the following procedures to prevent the illegal
removal or chopping of trees as follows:
1. Prior to any tree removal, residents are required to obtain necessary approval from relevant
authority (Majlis Perbandaran Kajang, MPKJ). Upon obtaining approval from MPKJ, submit an
official applica on along with a ‘Surat Sokongan’ from MPKj including refundable deposit of
RM1,000 per tree to Township Management Office. Failure to adhere to the terms and
condi ons will result in the forfeiture of the deposit and no permission will be granted despite
approval from the local authority; and
2. Tree removal will only be accepted with valid jus fica ons and reasons, with a condi on to
replace each removed tree with a minimum of a 5-foot tree (non-fruit tree). In all situa ons,
we strongly encourage residents to consider reloca ng the trees to more suitable loca ons at
their own expense. If you require guidance on appropriate reloca on areas, please consult
with the Township Management, who will be more than willing to assist you.

We appeal to all residents to be mindful of the consequences of their ac ons on the environment and
to obtain proper authoriza on before cu ng down any trees. Safeguarding biodiversity within our
community is crucial for the con nua on of the invaluable benefits that trees provide. Let us unite in
preserving the natural splendour of our community, ensuring its longevity for genera ons to come.

Should you need further clarifica on, please do not hesitate to contact our management office at 03-
8733 9921 or email to our general email address at pmsjh@gamudaland.com.my.

Thank you for your coopera on and understanding.

Regards,
The Management
