/N\ MODENA TX Y-600 Ceramic Water Absorption Tester Operation instruction I. Overview: This instrument meets the requirements of GB/T3810.3-2016 and 1S010545-3-1995 for the determination of water absorption, apparent porosity, apparent relative density and bulk density. Vacuum method is adopted for the determination of water absorption, apparent porosity and bulk density of household ceramics, building sanitary ceramics, electric ceramics and refractory materials. It also meets the conditions of GB/T3299-2011 "Determination method for water absorption of daily ceramics". The instrument can also be used to determine the water absorption of brick, cement products, ete. II. Main Technical Indicators: 1. Vacuum degree:0.095MPa,Settable. 2, Effective volume: 600 * 300 * 600mm, the maximum sample size is 600 * 600mm; 3. Vacuum time: adjustable from 0 to 99 minutes and 59 seconds. 4. Water injection time: adjustable from 0 to 99 minutes and 59 seconds continuously. 5. Repeatability error: < 5%. 6. Digital display. 7. Voltage: 220V, SOHZ. 8. Vacuum cylinder and sample holder material: stainless steel; 9. Equipped with digital display vacuum pressure gauge. IIL The structure and composition of the instrument The instrument adopts electromechanical integration structure, which is composed of vacuum vessel, distilled water vessel, vacuum pump, vacuum air injection valve, electromagnetic inlet valve, water discharge valve and digital controller. IV, the instrument test principle The instrument adopts automatic digital control system. According to the technical requirements of national standards, the pre-vacuuming time (42 minutes), water injection time (45 seconds, depending on the number of samples, water surface covering samples above Sem) and soaking time (15 minutes) are set. When the sample prepared according to the determination method is dried to constant weight, it is cooled to room temperature in a dryer and weighed m1 Then it is put into a vacuum container, and the air injection valve and water release valve are closed. Start the vacuum pump to pre-vacuum the vacuum vessel. After the vacuum degree reaches the requirement, keep the vacuum degree for a certain time. After the holding time arrives, enter the water injection time. After the water injection time arrives, the vacuum pump stops working. Open the air and water valve and return the distilled water from the vacuum container to the distilled water container. Remove the vacuum container cover, take out the sample, gently wipe the moisture on the surface of the sample with the deerskin soaked and wrung, and weigh (m2). The measurement results of each sample were recorded and the water absorption 1 of the ceramic tile was calculated V. Relevant instruments shall be equipped in the laboratory 1. Oven capable of operating at 110° C+5° C 2. A balance that can be weighed accurately to 0.01% of the sample mass 3. Deionized or distilled water. VI. Usage and Operation Steps: 1. Open the back cover, disassemble the packing belt tied to the water tank, and check whether the connecting pipe beside the water tank is loosened and whether the electrical board components fall off. After the inspection, add distilled water or deionized water into the plastic basin containing distilled water. The water in the basin should be enough to fill the vacuum bucket. For each test, do not insert the injection pipe into the water, the inlet pipe with solenoid valve must be inserted into the bottom of the basin. Vacuum pump drums should also be filled with water. 2. Sample preparation Each type of brick was tested with 10 whole bricks If the surface area of each brick is greater than 0.04m2, only 5 whole bricks are needed for the test. If the surface area of each brick is greater than 0.16m2, cut at least 5 samples with the minimum side length of 100mm in the middle of 3 whole bricks. If the mass of each brick is less than 50g, a sufficient number of bricks will be required to reach 50 ~ 100g for each test sample When the side length of the brick is more than 200mm, it can be cut into small pieces, but each piece under cutting should be included in the measured value. Polygons and other non-rectangular bricks are rectangular in length and width, ‘The bricks were dried in an oven at 110° C+5° C toa constant weight, ie., the difference between the two consecutive masses every 24 hours was less than 0.1%. The brick is cooled to room temperature in a dryer with silica gel or other desiccant. Acidic desiccant should not be used. Each brick is weighed and recorded according to the measurement accuracy in Table 1 Table 1 brick of quality and measurement accuracy: The quality of bricksm , g| Accuracy, g 50Sm= 100 0.02 1003000 1.00 3, test, Place the bricks vertically in the vacuum bucket so that they do not touch each other. Y can change the set value, generally set the upper limit at 0.09Mpa, set the lower limit at 0.087Mpa, and set the upper limit at 0.87mpa. Turn off the power again. Set the vacuuming time (about 35 minutes) and water injection time (about 30 seconds). While maintaining the vacuum, add 3 enough water to cover the brick with a height of Sem, and the time to add water depends on the actual situation. Set the soaking time to 15min. Set the above parameters, put the power switch on the "on" position, and the red power indicator will light up, and automatically enter the test stage. Start vacuuming. When a voice alarm, open the valve on the left side (instrument) injection into the air in the vacuum container, at the same time the vacuum container of distilled water back into the distilled water in the container, peel off the vacuum container cover, take out the sample, will be a piece of wet suede twist dry with the hand, put the suede on the platform, in turn, gently wipe the surface of each brick, for surface concave and convex or embossed suede briskly to wipe the surface water, then immediately weighing m2, record the measurement result of each sample, and then calculate the bibulous rate of brick of pottery and porcelain, keep the same as the drying condition of precision. Absorption : Calculate the water absorption of each piece of tile, E v, the formula is as follows: Ev=—————— «100 camer 3 qd) mI—The quality of dry brick, g m2—The quality of the wet bricks, g. 4. Cut off the powers VII, Equipment maintenance and precautions 1. For equipment installed in the dry, stable place. 2. Keep the equipment clean and tidy. 3. Note that if the pipeline leaks, if found to be replaced, otherwise the vacuum is difficult to guarantee.
