I. Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates an understanding of the underlying principles in the preparation of carpentry tools and construction materials.
II. Performance Standard:
The learner independently prepares automotive tools and factors affecting automotive servicing based on industry standards.
III. Most Essential Learning Competencies:
At the end of this Lesson, the students are expected to do the following:
LO 1: Prepare hand tools;
LO 2: Use appropriate hand tools and test equipment;
LO 3: Prepare a record of malfunctioning tools; and
LO 4: Maintain hand tools
At the end of this lesson, 100% of the learners should be able to achieve 85% proficiency in the following tasks:
A: Describe tools and equipment used in automotive servicing.
B: Prepare tools and materials for a task.
C: Recognize the value of using correct tools and materials for a specific task

C. Motivation

- I will post a picture on the monitor and they will tell me if it is wrong or not about automotive. Everyone who answers will get recitation points.

V. Lesson Proper
1. Abstraction
- Identify the tools and equipment for automotive servicing.
2. Application
- Elaborate on the function and uses of every tool that is presented.
3. Values Integration
- Discuss the importance of knowing how to use the tools properly.
VI. Activity
- 4 groups will have representatives for every tool and will raise their hands the first hand to raise will answer and have a chance to guess if the tools
are for cutting, bending- holding - twisting – crimping tools, holding, cleaning, measuring, driving tools, loosening and tightening tools, and marking
tools. Race to 5 points. The winning group will get plus points on the next quiz.
VII. Generalization.
- At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify, classify, appreciate, and value of knowing tools and proper use of it.
VII. Activity
Direction: Match Column A with Column B. Write the letter of the best answer.
