Cyberbullying

Cyber-bullying is when individuals get harassed or threatened via rude texts, tweets,

posts or messages. Recently, the statistics that resulted from the researches conducted by the

I-SAFE Foundation have revealed that over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied

online. Therefore, many psychologists claim that cyber-bullying can push people into

loneliness and depression. In this regard, it can bring about unsociability and concentration

disorder.

To begin with, cyber-bullying can lead people to some changes in personality which

may get them away from society. It can make them anxious, depressive, aggressive or even

committing suicide due to its psychological impacts. To be more specific, it is proved that

cyber-bullying makes victims feel ashamed and alone according to the academic researches.

These feelings make them distant from other people. Moreover, loneliness can make people

damaging themselves and environment because it is one of the feelings people cannot be

patient on. As a result, cyber-bullying can push people into loneliness and depression owing

to its unsociability.

In a similar manner, cyber-bullying might draw on concentration disorder. In this

regard, victims can be affected in a bad way in their lives. To exemplify, if a student cannot

concentrate on his/her classes, it is unavoidable for that student to fail in that topic.

Furthermore, because of the lack of concentration, individuals cannot pay attention on their

daily duties and routines, even on their families. As a consequence, cyber-bullying causes to

poor academic performance and negligence owing to concentration issues.

In a nutshell, it could be said that cyber-bullying pushes people into loneliness and

depression because it prevents sociability and makes people distracted. In my own point of

view, it is one of the big issues of today’s world. Thus, governments should introduce some

laws to prevent and stop cyberbullying.
