Summary about ATS and Job

Boards
An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is a tool used by employers to manage their hiring
process, which includes storing information about users, job openings, and applicants.
Meanwhile, job boards are third-party websites that employers use to post their job
openings. However, the best method to protect your data and to ensure that your
application is directly connected to the job/s you are interested in is to apply directly on
the employer's website.

It is important to note that ATS is cloud-hosted and stores personal information that is
highly regulated. It is also accessible only by authorized users with varying levels of
access. In the US, voluntary demographic information for the EEOC is included in the
ATS application process, but it is aggregated anonymously and reported to the EEOC.
Although job boards are used by employers to post job openings, anyone willing to pay
can create an account and access all resumes in the database by paying a subscription
fee. However, job boards have a disadvantage when it comes to the use and access to
your data and privacy by third parties.
Lastly, recruiters often receive questions about the Easy Apply function on LinkedIn.
However, it is important to note that LinkedIn is still a third-party application. Using the
Easy Apply function does not create an actual profile for you to access if you need to
change your resume, update your contact information, or track the roles you have
applied for.
