transport in my hometown such as/ like bus, grab car, grab bike, taxi…., but bus/grab car, grab
bike, taxi…. is popular. People in my hometown travel by bus/grab car, grab bike, taxi….
every day. I like bus/grab car, grab bike, taxi…. Sometimes, I go to school/ go to the
supermarket/… by bus/grab car, grab bike, taxi…. It is very convenient/ (and) cheap, it can be
seen everywhere, so everyone can catch it easily.

PART 2: Describe the best experience of your school/university life you have had
I am very glad to share with you about/ I would like to talk about/ I want to talk about/ I will
talk about the best experience of
(1) my school life I have had. When I was in high school, my class had a school trip. We
went to a farm in the countryside. There were a lot of vegetables, flowers, and animals. We
helped the farmers water plants, feed animals, collect chicken eggs, and so on. We were very
happy. For me, it was the best experience because it taught me about many unknown things.
(2) university life I have had. When I was in first year, I took part in an English Speaking
Contest. That was the first time I had ever stood in front of a hundred people to present. I
talked about the topic “why education is important” and I won. For me, it was the best
experience because it helped me to become more confident.

a month. I like land transport because it is very cheap and convenient. It gives me satisfaction.

(1) I had a special meal on my birthday last year/last month/ last week. Mom decorated the

house with balloons and flowers. She cooked chicken soup/ salad/noodles/ beef steak/ …
and so on. My friends made a birthday cake for me. We sang the “happy birthday” song,
danced and ate together. I was very happy. For me, it was a special meal I have had.
(2) I had a special meal with my teacher and classmate in high school before I went to

university. We had a party at the restaurant. There's a lot of different food such as/ like

games, eat birthday cake together,…. and everyone gives me presents. I am very happy
on my birthday.

PART 2 Describe a traditional/ famous food in your hometown or country

talk about a famous food in my country.
(1) It’s Banh Mi. Banh Mi Viet Nam is famous worldwide street food. There are many types
of Banh Mi such as/ like Fried Egg Banh Mi, Fish-ball Banh Mi, Meatball Banh Mi, and so
on. In Viet Nam, we can find Banh mi wherever we go. It becomes the well-known fast
food of all people because of its convenience, and cheap price.
(2) It’s Pho. Pho is a traditional Vietnamese soup. The most famous is the North Pho. There
are many types of Pho such as/ like beef Pho, Chicken Pho, Ha Noi style Pho, and so on. In
Viet Nam, we can find Pho wherever we go. Pho has become Vietnam’s pride in the world.
(3) It’s Bun Bo Hue. Bun Bo Hue is a popular Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup. This dish is
also a favorite of the locals. It seems like for breakfast rather than lunch or dinner. For those
who love food, Bun Bo Hue is one of the best Vietnamese noodle soup.

The environment is an important part of our life, so we need to protect the environment.
There are many things that people often do to protect the environment every day. Firstly,

(1) Recycling is very important. It reduces emissions of greenhouse gases.

(2) Saving energy at home and at work by turning off the lights when we leave, lessening
water usage, and so on.
(3) Planting more trees is a good way to protect the environment. Trees provide oxygen and
limit global warming.
(4) Using paper bags. Paper bags can be easily recycled, help save huge amounts of energy.

about an area in my country that is beautiful. It’s
(1) Da Lat. Dalat is a beautiful city with ancient villas/ beautiful waterfalls/ Love valley/ ……
There are many activities for us to do. We can visit Xuan Huong Lake/ visit Love valley/ visit
the night market/ enjoy street food/ take photos….and so on. I think people should visit Da Lat
at least once.
(2) Sapa. Sapa is known as the fog city with beautiful mountains full of clouds and fog. Besides
that, Sapa is famous for beautiful yellow terraced fields. There are many activities for us to do.
We can visit Sapa museum/silver waterfall/ hike Fan-si-pan Mountain/ take photos….. and so
on. I think people should visit SaPa at least once.
(3) Phu Quoc. Phu Quoc is the largest tourist island in Vietnam. It is known as the pearl island with
blue jade seawater and white-sandy beaches. There are many activities for us to do. We can
kayaking/ diving/ take part in sea sports/take photos/ enjoy local food…and so on. I think
people should visit Phu Quoc at least once.
(4) Ha Long Bay. Ha Long Bay is a beautiful natural wonder in Quang Ninh. Halong Bay is
famous for its beautiful island system with two types of limestone islands and shale islands.
There are many activities for us to do. We can kayaking/ diving/ take part in sea sports/take
photos/ enjoy local food…and so on. I think people should visit Ha Long Bay at least once.

Most of the people in my hometown are office staffs. Some people are doctors, teachers, engineers,
and so on.
4. Do you think it is better to live in the center of town or outside?
In my point/ In my view/ In my opinion/ For me,
(1) it is better to live in the center of town because we can get anything that we need easily.
(2) it is better to live outside of town because the countryside air is fresh and there are no traffic
jams.
