BG 15 ERROR CODE LISIT AND STATE SIGNALING

ERROECODE: 01 (B)

EARTH CONNECTION DEFECT

CAUSE: 1) One of the two poles of the 24Vdc power supply (24R or 0V on the BG15) is connected
to earth (PE).

2) 24Vdc erroneously connected with 110Vac inside the inspection box.

REMEDY: 1) Check the 24volt circuits (door limit switch, photo cell, inspection box, display, gong,
push button, button lamps…) proceed disconnecting all wires involved and check one by
one until the fault is found.

2) With a voltmeter measure the voltage between 0V and earth and between earth and
24V, in a normal condition they should be exactly the half of the voltage measured, if
between 0V and earth is lower means that the wires conducting the 0V could have some
short circuit to earth, if it is lower between earth and 24V than the problem comes from the
wires conducting the 24V.

ERROR CODE: 02 (A)

LOW SPEED TIME TOO LONG

CAUSE: 1) The car does not reach, running in slow speed, the landing floor in the programmed
standard time (14 seconds) or time programmed at PAR 0B.

REMEDY: 1) Modify the slowdown distance.

2) Increase the low speed time, programmed at address PAR 0B (write 1E= 30sec).

3) With Tapehead: The stopping Zone are set 0, the cabin does not stop at required floor
continuing at slow speed until “02” error is shown. Check Stopping Zone at address D2
and D3.

4) With Tapehead: The unlocking Zone are set at 0, the cabin does not stop at required
floor continuing at slow speed till “02” error is shown. Check Unlocking Zone and write
02 at D4 and 24 at D5.

5) With Tapehead, the slow-down distances are not correctly programmed and the cabin
travels for a too long distance at V0. Check distance D0-D1 for V2.
ERROR CODE: 03 (D)

INSPECTION TIME TOO LONG

CAUSE: 1) In inspection mode, the upward or downward push button is pushed for a time longer
than the one programmed at address 0D.

REMEDY: 1) Run upward or downward by shorter runs.

2) Increase the programmed time at address PAR 0D (seconds-hexadecimal). This


error might be ignored if you program at address PAR 0D the value 00.

ERROR CODE: 04 (B)

SAFETY CHAIN INTERRUPTED BEFORE X4-6 TERMINAL

CAUSE: 1) The safety chain is interrupted before X4-6 terminal. One or more of the car safety
contact (stop, slack rope, safety gear, etc….) in the hoistway (final limit switch,
stop switch in pit, etc…) in the machine room (speed governor,etc).

2) Because of a short circuit in the safety chaine the automatic valve DI is switched
off.

3) For hydraulic elevator or with advanced door opening ( door zone control by
REED switch) the time relay KC operates.

4) Relay KM it is not working or it is not supplied.

5) The tension rods of the ropes are too close to the slack ropes plate opening the
safety contact.

REMEDY: 1) Check the contact of the safety chain up to X4-6 terminal.

2) For hydraulic elevators or with advanced door opening, check the good operation
of N.O. REED in the door zone and the right position of magnets.

3) No tension in the safety chain 110Vac or 48Vdc for hydraulic.

4) Check the 24V that supplies relay KM.

5) If voltage of safety chain is present at “6” of BG15, the board may be faulty.
ERROR CODE: 05 (D)

INDICATES THE OPERATION OF THE MOTOR FAN

(ONLY FOR VVVF DRIVE)

CAUSE: 1) Thermal protection of motor fan.

REMEDY: 1) Check if the contact is not correctly adjusted.

2) Check if the motor of the fan is not working properly.

ERROR CODE: 06 (A)

SAFTEY CHAIN INTERRUPTED BEFORE X4-10

TERMINAL DURING THE RESET OPERATION

CAUSE: 1) During the RESET operation after 3 staring attempts, the safety chain does not
close between X4-8 and X4-10 terminals.

REMEDY: 1) Check the contacts of the landing door locks and the wiring

2) For installation with swing doors, check also the contacts of the car doors.

3) The door contact may bounce and filtering time is not enough to solve the
problem. Write 14 (0, 2 sec) at AD PAR 1E.

4) If voltage of safety chain is present at “10” of BG15, the board may be faulty.

STATE CODE: 07 (A)

ERROR PROGRAMMING SPG1…4

CAUSE: 1) 7 Function can be programmed on 4 outputs. One output cannot be used for two
functions.

REMEDY: 1) Check if two functions are programmed on the same output at AD PAR 78-79-
7A-7B, they should not have the same segments lighted and then modify the
program.
STATE CODE: 08 (D)

“NO START” FUNCTION IS ACTIVATED

This is not an error but a function. If activated the car cannot start, if calls are registered they will be
answered when “NO START” is no more active. This function is used to start the cabins of a car group
in a row in order not to overload the supply.

CAUSE: 1) 0V is entering on input “SUSD” (BG15).

REMEDY: 1) If not intentional, check the wiring associated.

ERROR CODE: 09 (B)

OPERATION OF THE POWER UNIT THERMIC PROBE

CAUSE: 1) The maximum operation temperature, 110oC for the motor, or 70oC for
oil has been exceeded.

REMEDY: 1) Stop the lift until the running conditions are restored and search the
overheating causes.

2) Check if thermo contact or PTC are OK. In any case, shunting 0V and
“STH” the error must disappear, if not replace BG15.

ERROR CODE: 10 (A)

DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT ERROR

CAUSE: 1) The controller detects the car moving in the direction.

REMEDY: 1) Check that with an up call actually the car goes up, and vice versa.

2) Check the right position of the magnets in the hoistway and check that the
connection A and B of REED Switches (ILS) are not inverted. Check on
main board BG15 the LEDs CA, corresponding to sensor A, and CB
corresponding to B, light up in the right order.

3) For traction rope elevator check phase sequence on traction motor. Check
also the balancing between car and counterweight if the fall of the cabin is
too much at starting when an up call is given.

4) If a phase is missing, the motor may be not able to keep the ordered
direction.
ERROR CODE: 11 (A)

HOISTWAY SENSOR (Tapehead,ILS) READING IS NOT CORRECT

CAUSE: 1) The connections of sensors are wrong.

2) The arrangement of the magnets in the hoistway is wrong.

REMEDY: 1) Check the connection and operation of REEDs A and B.

2) Check the right arrangement of the magnets in the hoistway.

3) If Tapehead is used, check voltage: it must be between 23 and 27.5v.


Keep the wiring of tapehead separated from wiring bringing > 30V. If there
are serious problems of electrical noise, use capacitor of 100nF, 50V
directly on CAA-0V and CAB-0V of the main board.

ERROR CODE: 12 (C)

ONE OF THE CONTACTORS DOES NOT SWITCH OFF

AT STOPPING

CAUSE: 1) Possible sticking of one of the contactors.

REMEDY: 1) Check the contactors have no mechanical problems.

2) Check the operation of the command circuit or/ and the control circuit of
contactors (see wiring diagram). Check the auxiliary contacts on the
contactors command circuit.

3) Check the voltage supply through the safety chain: the resistance of the
safety chain could be too high causing a drop of the voltage. Try to add
where it is possible an auxiliary contact in parallel to the existing one
on the contactors command circuit.

4) Check that the jumper SW7 is placed on TRAC for a traction lift and
HYDR for hydraulic.

5) The minirelay on BG15, controlling the contactors, colud be faulty.

6) A RC filter on the coil of contactor may help.


ERROR CODE: 13 (C)

THE HIGH SPEED CONTACTOR (KGV) DOES NOT

SWITCH OFF AT SLOW- DOWN

CAUSE: 1) See error code”12’

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12’.

ERROR CODE: 14 (C)

THE LOW SPEED CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON

CAUSE: 1) The low speed contactor does not switch on.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12”.

ERROR CODE: 15 (C)

ONE OF THE UPWARD OR DOWNWARD CONTACTORS

(KS OR KD) DOES NOT SWITCH ON AT THE STARTING

CAUSE: 1) Same as “14” for contactors (KS or KD)

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12’.

2) One fuse is out, supply 24R is missing.


ERROR CODE: 16 (B)

INSPECTION LIMIT SWITCH ACTIVATED

CAUSE: 1) A limit switch should operate, when in inspection, to prevent the car
going beyond 1.5m from the roof of the hoistway.

REMEDY: 1) On series 32 and 22 Inspection limit switch is wired in series with UP


button of Inspection Box. AD PAR 07 SEG 3 must be ON to run UP
after a reset.

2) On series 31 and 191 if it is applied the same wiring AD PAR 07


SEG 3 must be OFF.

3) On 31 and 191 the switch (contact N.C.) is connected between 0V and


“FREV”; AD PAR 07 SEG 3 is ON: the opening of the contact gives the
error. The DOWN button remains active.

ERROR CODE: 17 (B)

ONE PHASE LOST OR INVERTED

CAUSE: 1) The Phase relay (KDF) does not switch on because one or more phases
are lost.

2) Two phases are inverted.

REMEDY: 1) Check the right power supply to the controller, terminal L1, L2, L3.
Exchange the phases if necessary. Always check the correct rotation of the
motor of the hydraulic power unit or the traction machine. This defect
might also came out at starting when the main power supply is not enough
or the temporary site supply is too feeble.

2) Check if the fault is the main board BG15: shunt 0V and “STH” on
BG15; if error disappears the board is OK.
ERROR CODE: 18 (A)

IMPOSSIBLE RE-OPERATION BECAUSE OF A

SENSOR (Tapehead or ILS) READING ERROR

CAUSE: 1) See error code”11”

REMEDY: 2) Refer to error code”11”

ERROR CODE: 19 (B)

THE SAFETY CHAIN IS INTERRUPTED BEFORE

TERMINAL X4-8

CAUSE: 1) Opening of the safety circuit between terminals X4-6 and X4-8 (car door)
during the run.

2) For lift with swing doors, the opening of one of the preliminary contact of the
landing door.

REMEDY: 1) Check the right operation of the car doors contacts.

2) For installation with swing doors check the contacts of the landing doors.

3) The main board could be faulty on the OPTOCOUPLER receiving 8.

4) On VVVF the electrical noise generated by the motor can cause this error.
Hoistway harness must pass at 300mm, at least, from motor wires and 1m
from motor.
ERROR CODE: 20 (B)

OIL TEMPERATURE IN THE POWER UNIT

EXCEEDS 700 C

CAUSE: 1) Only for hydraulic lifts, the oil temperature in the power unit exceeds 700C.

REMEDY: 1) Stop the lift until the optimal conditions are restored and search the
overheating causes.

2) Check at AD RAM 66 the temperature read by the probe.

3) The probe or the connections are faulty.

ERROR CODE: 21 (B)

SAFETY CHAIN INTERRUPTED BEFORE X4-10

TERMINAL

CAUSE: 1) One of the landing doors lock does not close at start. The fault is definitive
after 5 attempts

2) For installation with swing doors, car doors don’t close at starting.

REMEDY: 1) Check the contacts and wiring of the landing doors locks.

2) For installation with swing doors check the car doors contacts.

3) The door contact may bounce and filtering time is not enough to solve the
problem. Write 14 (0.2 sec) at AD PAR 1E.

4) If everything seems OK and “10” arrives on the main board, the latter is
faulty.
ERROR CODE: 22 (A)

READING OF SENSOR (Tapehaed or ILS) MISSING (ROPE SKIDDING)

CAUSE: 1) The REED switches or the Tapehead do not send any signal during
the reset standard time (20 second).

REMEDY: 1) The motor is not correctly supplied.

2) Check the right operation of sensors: REED A and B and the correct
magnets arrangement in the hoistway; the tapehead is correctly mounted at
the center of the tape and nothing hamper the reading.

3) Check at AD PAR 0A the time programmed and program value 0A=10sec.

4) Check any mechanical failure that may block the car, if the brake actually
opens or if the lift is stuck because of the safety gear.

ERROR CODE: 23 (B)

SAFETY CHAIN INTERRUPTED BEFORE

TERMINAL X4-6 DURING CAR RUNNING

CAUSE: 1) Safety chain interrupted before X4-6 terminal. Because of opening of one of
the safety contacts in the car (stop,slack ropes,safety gear, etc….), in the
hoistway (final limit switch, stop switch in the pit, etc…) or in the machine
room (slack ropes, speed governor, etc…).

2) Because of a short circuit, the automatic valve DI operated.

3) For hydraulic elevators or with advanced door opening (door zone controlled
by REED switches) the time relay KC operated.

REMEDY: 1) Check the safety chain contacts up to X4-6 terminal.

2) For hydraulic elevators or with advanced door opening, check the correct
operation of N.O. REED in the door zone and the right position of
magnets.

3) If everything is OK, the OPTOCOUPLER of the main board is faulty.


ERROR CODE: 26 (B)

WRONG OPERATION OF REED SWITCH NO “A”

CAUSE: 1) REED “A” remains closed for a longer time than standard programmed
(standard 7 second high speed, 14 seconds low speed). AD PAR 0E for
high speed, AD PAR 0F for low speed.

REMEDY: 1) Check the right REED “A” operation and its connections.

2) Check other possible causes the car does not move. (See error 22).

ERROR CODE: 27 (B)

WRONG OPERATION OF REED SWITCH NO “B”

CAUSE: 1) REED “B” remains closed for a longer time than standard programmed
(standard 7 seconds low speed). AD PAR 0E for high speed, AD PAR 0F
for low speed.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code ‘26”.

ERROR CODE: 28 (C)

ONE OF THE CONTACTORS IS STUCK

AT THE STARTING

CAUSE: 1) See error code “12”.

REMEDY: 2) Refer to error code “12”.


ERROR CODE: 29 (C)

KGV CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON AT STARTING

CAUSE: 1) See error code “12”

REMEDY: 2) Refer to error code “12”.

ERROR CODE: 30 (C)

KPV CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH OFF WHEN

KGV CONTACTOR IS ACTIVATED

CAUSE: 1) See error code “12”.

REMEDY: 2) Refer to error code “12”.

STATE CODE: 31 (D)

OVERLOAD FUCTION IS ACTIVATED (OVERLOAD)


ERROR CODE: 36 (A)

THE MAIN FLOOR IS HIGHER THAN TOP FLOOR

CAUSE: 1) Before starting the microprocessor analysis if all parameter are


correct.

REMEDY: 1) Check if the value programmed at AD PAR 06 (Main floor) is


coherent with the value programmed at AD PAR 04 (top floor).

ERROR CODE: 37 (A)

THE NUMBER OF FLOORS IS HIGHER THAN ALLOWED

BY THE MAIN BOARD

CAUSE: 1) Before starting the microprocessor analyses if all parameters are


correct.

REMEDY: 1) Check if values programmed are coherent.

ERROR CODE: 38 (A)

THE RE-SET FLOOR IS HIGHER THAN TOP FLOOR

CAUSE: 1) Before starting the microprocessor analyses if all parameters are


correct.

REMEDY: 1) Check if values programmed are coherent. AD PAR 06 (Main floor),


AD PAR 20 (Parking floor), AD PAR 43 (Out of service floor) cannot
be higher than AD PAR 04 (Top floor).
ERROR CODE: 39 (B)

THE SUPPLY VOLTAGE OF BG15 CARD

IS LOWER THAN REQUIRED (15% AT LEAST)

CAUSE: 1) The supply voltage of the main board BG15 must be 19Vdc,
between 16 and 22 Vdc, measured on KT2 connector.

REMEDY: 1) Wrong operation of transformer (T).

2) Check if the supply voltage L1, L2, L3 is the one required by the
controller 370-420V.

3) Check the 19V output of the transformer (T). Change the primary
winding, from 19V to 21V and vice versa, of the transformer to
suit site condition if possible.

4) Check the operation of the diode bridge rectifier PR1 (see wiring
diagram).

5) If voltage variation cannot be reasonable controlled, a voltage


stabilizer is required.

6) If what above is OK an ultimate damage occurred to the BG15


board. It must be replaced.

ERROR CODE: 40 (B)

THE POWER VOLTAGE OF BG15 CARD

IS HIGHER THAN REQUIRED (20% AT LEAST)

CAUSE: 1) See error code”39”.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “39”.


ERROR CODE: 41 (B)

THE SAFETY CHAIN BETWEEN TERMINALS X4-6 AND

X4-8 DOES NOT CLOSE AT THE STARTING

CAUSE: 1) The car doors contacts don’t close properly at the starting. For
installation with swing doors, contacts of the landing doors do not
close properly.

2) After 5 attempts the fault is definitive.

REMEDY: 1) Check the right operation of the car door contacts, or for installation
with swing doors, the landing doors contacts.

2) Check if the door operator lever is inserted. In order to have a door


reopening operation out of the door zone AD PAR 60 SEG7 must be ON.
To insert the operator lever is necessary to order a reopening operation.

3) Close limit switch on door operator is misadjusted, faulty or not wired


correctly.

4) The door contact may bounce and filtering time is not enough to solve
the problem.

Write 14 (0.2 sec) at AD PAR 45.

5) If everything is OK and “8” arrives on the main board, the latter is


faulty.

ERROR CODE: 42 (B)

WRONG NUMBER OF DOOR OPERATOR PROGRAMMED

CAUSE: 1) AD PAR 03 is programmed: 00 for no operator

01 for one operator

02 for two operators.

REMEDY: 1) Check value programmed.


ERROR CODE: 44 (B)

THE SAFETY CHAIN BETWEEN TERMINALS X4-8 AND

X4-10 DOES NOT CLOSE AT THE STARTING

CAUSE: 1) One of the landing doors lock contact does not close at starting. For
installation with swing doors, the car door contacts do not close.

REMEDY: 1) Check the landing doors lock contacts and, for installation with swing
doors, the car door contacts. Check wiring of locks.

2) For installation with swing doors check the car doors contacts too.

3) The door contact may bounce and filtering time is not enough to solve the
problem.

Write 14(0.2 sec) at AD PAR 1E.

4) Check adjustment and working of the close limit switch of door operator.

5) If everything is OK and “10” arrives on the main board, the latter is


faulty.

ERROR CODE: 46 (C)

DOOR OPERATION ENTRANCE “A” BLOCKED

AT THE OPENING

CAUSE: 1) The opening of the door limit switch FCA is not detected in the standard
programmed time (10 seconds, AD PAR 47). 3 attempts are allowed than
the fault becomes permanent.

REMEDY: 1) Check there are no mechanical obstacles that stop door opening.

2) Check that the door limit switches are properly connected and positioned. Be
sure that the switches work properly check at AD RAM 0F segment 0 and
1, when the door is closed SEG1 is lightened ON and SEG0 ON.

3) If the programmed door opening time is not enough change it at AD PAR47.

4) Check operation of door contactors KAP and KCP.

5) If input FCOU1 is OK, board BG15 may be faulty.


ERROR CODE: 47 (C)

DOOR OPERATION ENTRANCE “B” BLOCKED

AT THE OPENING

CAUSE: 1) The opening of the door limit switch FCA is not detected in the standard
programmed time (10 seconds, AD PAR 67).3 attempts are allowed than
the fault becomes permanent.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “46”.

2) If input FCOU2 is OK, board BG19 may be faulty.

ERROR CODE: 48 (C)

DOOR OPERATOR ENTRANCE “A” BLOCKED

AT THE CLOSING

CAUSE: 1) The opening of the door limit switch FCC is not detected in the standard
programmed time (10 seconds AD PAR 47). 3 attempts are allowed than
the fault becomes permanent.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “46”.

2) Check that there are no mechanical obstacles that stop door closing.

3) If input FCFE1 is OK, board BG15 may be faulty.


ERROR CODE: 49 (C)

DOOR OPERATOR ENTRANCE “B” BLOCKED

AT THE CLOSING

CAUSE: 1) The opening of the door limit switch FCC is not detected in the standard
programmed time (10 seconds AD PAR 67). 3 attempts are allowed than
the fault becomes permanent.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “46”.

2) Check that there are no obstacles that stop door closing.

3) If input FCFE2 is OK, board BG19 may be faulty.

ERROR CODE: 50 (D)

“OUT OF SERVICE” FUNCTION ACTIVATED

The function is used to put, by means of a contact, the elevator out of service. At AD PAR 43 is
programmed the parking floor. Parking can be with door open or closed.

ERROR CODE: 51 (D)

“CAR PRIORITY” FUNCTION ACTIVATED

This code shows us that by means of a contact the lift will accept only the car calls.
ERROR CODE: 52 (B)

THE SAFETY CHAIN IS OPENED BETWEEN X4-8 AND

X4-10 TERMINALS DURING CAR RUNNING

CAUSE: 1) Opening of one of the landing doors locks while the car is running.

2) For installations with swing doors, opening of the car door contacts.

REMEDY: 1) Check the landing door locks contacts.

2) For installations with swing doors, check the car door contacts.

3) The main board could be faulty on the OPTOCOUPLER receiving 10.

4) On VVVF the electrical noise generated by the motor can cause this
error. Hoistway harness must pass at 1 meter, at least, from motor
wires.

STATE CODE: 53 (D)

“FIREMAN OPERATION” ACTIVATED

STATE CODE: 54 (D)

“NON STOP” FUNCTION (FULL LOAD) ACTIVATED


ERROR CODE: 55 (B)

THE KRIP RELAY IS NOT SWITCHED OFF (HYDRO)

RELEVELLING CONTACTOR IS STUCK

CAUSE: 1) During anti creep levelling the KRIP relay does not switch off (hydraulic).

2) For traction lifts with N62 board. Relevelling contactor is stuck.

REMEDY: 1) Check operation of relay KA and KB. Only for hydraulic.

2) Traction lifts check the contactor; if trouble happens randomly, check if


power supply is enough (add, if possible, auxiliary contact is parallel to the
contactor control). Check the contactor command circuit. If everything is
OK the board N62 could be faulty.

ERROR CODE: 56 (B)

THE KRIP RELAY IS NOT SWITCHED ON (HYDRO)

RELEVELLING CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON

CAUSE: 1) During anti creep levelling the KRIP relay does not switch on. Only for
hydraulic.

2) For traction lifts with N62 board: relevelling contactor is stuck and does not
switch on.

REMEDY: 1) Check the operation of door zone REED switches and, only for hydraulic,
the operation of relay KA and KB.

2) Refer to error code “55”.


ERROR CODE: 57 (A)

DURING ANTI CREEP LEVELLING

THE CAR EXCEEDS THE DOOR ZONE

CAUSE: 1) During anti creep levelling the car exceeds the door zone (up or down).

REMEDY: 1) Check the magnets arrangement in the door zone.

2) Check there is no excessive oil leakage. Only for hydraulic.

3) If Tapehead is used: steps of relevelling are too wide and distance run
in relevelling is too long. Write 03 at AD PAR 1C (6mm).

4) Door zone is too small. Write 02 at AD PAR D4 and 24 at AD PAR


D5.

5) The brake operates with delay. Check the brake command circuit.

ERROR CODE: 58 (A)

DURING ANTI CREEP LEVELLING

THE CAR EXCEEDS THE RELEVELLING ZONE

CAUSE: 1) During anti creep levelling the car exceeds the relevelling zone (up or
down)

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “57”.

2) The relevelling zone is too small. Write 08 at AD PAR D7 (8mm).


ERROR CODE: 59 (A)

MAXIMUM TIME FOR THE ANTI CREEP LEVELLING

EXCEEDED

CAUSE: 1) During anti creep levelling the car did not reach the floor within the
maximum time of 12 seconds (AD PAR 19).

REMEDY: 1) Check the good operation of the traction machine and verify that there
are not any obstacles to car movement.

2) Check if car is overloaded.

3) The brake does not open sufficiently. Check the brake command circuit.

ERROR CODE: 60 (A)

MAX. HEIGHT PROGRAMMED TOO HIGH

CAUSE: 1) An error has occurred during the floors programming.

REMEDY: 1) Repeat properly the floor programming sequence. Maximum altitude


E000.

2) Check status of ED contact if coherent with position (see installation


manual).
ERROR CODE: 61 (A)

ERROR DURING FLOOR SET-UP PROCEDURE

(with TAPEHEAD)

CAUSE: 1) An error has occurred during the floors programming.

2) At starting the microprocessor detects that floor height parameters are not
coherent.

REMEDY: 1) Repeat properly the floor programming sequence.

2) Write the right height for each floor at corresponding addresses.

ERROR CODE: 62 (A)

003 TAPEHEAD ERROR

CAUSE: 1) The sequence of signals of the tapehead is: 0-A-AB-B-0-A…If one pulse
is missing, the error is recorded and when total is 62, error is shown and
elevator stops.

REMEDY: 1) Check the slotted tape is correctly pulled, centred and without any
deformations, check also that nothing obstructs the slots and the magnets
and the brackets are fixed outside the slotted zone.

2) Voltage on Tapehead must be 23-27.5V.

3) Electrical noise influence Tapehead: keep its cables separated from other
wires.

4) Electrical noise: Capacitors 100nF- 50V can be mounted directly on


terminals CAA-0V and CAB-0V of BG15 board.
ERROR CODE: 63 (A)

CABIN PRESENT AT TOP AND BOTTOM FLOOR

CAUSE: 1) With ILS contacts CED and CEM are simultaneously open.

2) With slotted tape an error on 003 tapehead is detected.

Both with ILS contacts or 003 tapehead the contacts ED (CED) and EM CEM must be:

- Below the bottom slow down point: ED (CED) opened, EM (CEM) closed.
- Over the top slow down point: ED (CED) closed, EM (CEM) opened.
- Between bottom and top slow down point ED (CED) and EM (CEM) closed.

REMEDY: 1) Check the mechanical state of CEM and CED contacts and their wiring.

2) Check that CA and CB jumpers, on the BG15 board, are correctly


positioned.

3) Check power supply of the tapehead is 23-27.5 V.

4) Bistable switch on the tapehead EM and/or ED are not coherent with the
position.

5) If everything is OK, the board BG23 for ILS contacts or the board N70 for
tapehead could be faulty.

ERROR CODE: 64 (B)

INSPECTION AND RECALL OPERATION

CONTEMPORANEOUSLY ACTIVATED

CAUSE: 1) If two panels, inspection and recall, are provided, the inspection and recall
pushbutton panels are operating at the same time.

2) If only one inspection box is provided the shunt on BG15 card on the
KM12 connector is missing.

REMEDY: 1) Disable one of the push-button panels.

2) When in normal operation, check if on the BG15 card, the shunt has been
placed on the KM12 connector between terminals 1 and 2. (0V-MAN or
set AD PAR 07 SEG 4 OFF.
ERROR CODE: 65
ONLY FOR CONTROLLER WITH VVVF DRIVE

After 3 starting attempts a definitive fault of VVVF drive is detected. See VVVF manual.

ERROR CODE: 66
ONLY FOR CONTROLLER WITH VVVF DRIVE

Order to move has been given by the operation board, but the VVVF drive does not start because
of an error. See VVVF manual.

ERROR CODE: 69 (A)

CREEP AFTER CAR OVERTRAVEL

CAUSE: 1) When the car goes up in over travel, because of a creep, it leaves the over
travel zone and goes down to the lowest floor. Doors are open and
elevator is out of order.

REMEDY: 1) RESET (turn off and on supply) to restore the lift and check the causes of
the car over travel.

2) Ropes are stretched too much.

THE OIL LEVEL IN THE POWER UNIT IS TOO LOW

CAUSE: 1) For hydraulic lifts with probe to measure the oil level (optional). Oil has gone
down under the minimum level.

2) This error might came out after restoring the automatic valve DI.

REMEDY: 1) RESET (turn off and on supply) to restore the lift.


ERROR CODE: 74 (A)

THE OIL LEVEL IN THE POWER UNIT IS AT MIN.

CAUSE: 1) See error code “73”.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “73”.

ERROR CODE: 75 (C)

FOR STAR-DELETA STARTING:

KS CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON AT STARTING

CAUSE: 1) Possible sticking of one of the contactors. 3 attempts are made if AD PAR
07 SEG 6 ON.

2) 24R is missing.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12”.

ERROR CODE: 76 (C)

FOR STAR-DELETA STARTING:

KD CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON AT STARTING

CAUSE: 1) See error code “75”.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12”.

2) Check the connection between KRIP relay terminals 1 and 3 on the controller.
ERROR CODE: 77 (C)

FOR STAR-DELETA STARTING:

KL CONTACTOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON AT STARTING

CAUSE: 1) See error code “75”.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12”.

ERROR CODE: 78 (C)

FOR STAR-DELETA STARTING:

KS OR KD CONTACTORS DO NOT SWITCH OFF

CAUSE: 1) See error code “75”.

REMEDY: 1) Refer to error code “12”.


ERROR CODE: 79 (C)

HYDRAULIC LIFTS WITH SLOWDOWN DISTANCE SETTING BY

TEMPERATURE DETECTED BY THERMIC PROBE:

OIL IS TOO HOT

CAUSE: 1) The maximum oil operation temperature in the power unit has been
exceeded.

REMEDY: 1) Stop the lift until the optimal condition are restored and search the
overheating causes.

2) If the lift is without thermal probe for slow-down distance adjustment, check
the presence of shunt on the board BG15 connector KM17 between
terminals 1 and 3.
