Objectives:
1. To acquire information on discovering one’s strengths and developing
awareness, the qualification standards for some types of career jobs, and informed
decisions on career choice.
2.Develop awareness and appreciation of the available jobs/choices in the labor
market, their need, interests, aptitudes and inclinations.
3.Experience careers the learners aim at, matching their interest with the
possible career in each array of choices, and identifying a career that fits one’s
interest.

Expected Number of Participants: 20 Grade 6 Learners

PART II

NARRATIVE REPORT

1. Introduction/ Rationale
With the aim of guiding the elementary grade learners in choosing career
tracks that they intend to pursue through informed career choices towards
becoming productive and contributing individuals the Department of Education
(DepEd) implements the Career Guidance Week for SY 2022-2023. Career
Guidance Week as part of the school calendar activity -is designed to help the
learners in exploring their choices and in making responsible decisions relevant
to career pathing and planning for their future.

2. Narration of Accomplishment in accordance with the Training/ Activity

July 7, 2023 at exactly 7:30 in the morning, The Grade 6 learners
with the guidance of their adviser and the presence of their parents started the

activity with a Career Dress Parade. Prior to the activity, the children were told
to think about what they will be when they grow up and advised to dressed up
according to their chosen future professions anticipating what they are going to
look like in a couple of years after elementary. They proudly walked along the
school before getting inside the room where the short program took place.
As everyone was settled inside the room a prayer was given by the
Class President, Chantal G. Ablola. Everyone listened attentively to the school
head Sir Antonio R. Datuin as he rendered his opening remarks reiterating the
objectives of the said activity. Sir Datuin also challenged everyone to study
harder in order to pursue their dreams and aspirations in life. Everyone was
excited for the next activity wherein each one will present a short speech
regarding their chosen profession. Mam Joana L. Pergis, Administrative Officer
II of Longos IS gave an inspirational story that entertained and helped learners
realized the importance of having an ambition. The activity ended with an open
forum wherein everyone was given the chance to ask questions and
clarifications about choosing the right career and factors to be considered in
choosing a profession.
This career guidance activity given to Grade 6 learners helped them
acquire the knowledge, information, skills, and experience necessary to identify
career options and make a well-informed career choice. This career choice
results in their social, financial, and emotional well-being throughout their
lives. Everyone realized that career guidance is needed to explore and plan for
their future career endeavors based on their interests, skills, and values.
