com/doc/63458904 This is a report by the Consulting Department of the French National Railways concerning the modifications that would be required to significantly increase speeds of Turboliner trains between New York City and Albany. This study was completed in 1986 and is 25 pages in length. While it is dated April 1970, the study was probably performed in 1969, as similar but larger and more complex studies dated 1969 were performed by these authors. This study is 22 pages in length. This is a 1967 proposal by United Aircraft Corporation, designer and builder of the gas turbine-powered TurboTrain, and the New York Central Railroad to develop a system of three-car TurboTrain passenger rail services on the New York Central's rail system in New York State between New York City and Buffalo. The results of the computersimulated study showed that significant reductions in travel time can be achieved with this new rail technology..
