The short extension is useful to start removal of the pin, the long extension helps to drive it all the

way out.

Method: DO NOT hit edges or corners. Only strike a flat surface. Failure to follow these instructions
could result in serious injury or death.

Tool: Do not use handles that are rough, cracked, broken, splintered,
sharp-edged or loosely attached to head. Do not use hammers with sharp
edges as they can cut off circulation in your finger after long periods of use.

Tool: Do not use any hammer head with dents, cracks, chips, mushrooming, or
excessive wear.

Method: Avoid awkward positions when using the hammer to prevent strains.

Start deck wash to avoid slippery situations, e.g. when mud and silt is on the deck or
ladder

Secure the cutter ladder against unintentional movements

Secure communication lines between deck and bridge and crane operator
