Chapter One Product Overview
Brief introduction

This operation manual will be Specify for central monitor’s performance metrics, use, etc.
Operator must read this manual carefully to be able to properly use the central monitor, so that the
entire device has reached its required safety standards and performance indicators to better serve
you.

Safety requirements

Cautions:

 Central Monitor can not be used to Suffocation guardianship.


 Not available in magnetic resonance (MRI) or CT is used during

Tevet Tip:
 In order to make the central monitor can be safely grounded, the hospital must provide live,
neutral and ground complete power outlet.
 Electrosurgical loop must be connected properly to prevent burns, and even life-threatening.
 Not free to remove the central monitor cover, to prevent electric shock
 Can only be used in accordance with various accessories specified by the manufacturer
 With flammable anesthetic gases ,the Central Monitoring will not be used
 Not on the central monitor for high temperature, high pressure, gas fumigation or liquid
immersion, cleaning or disinfecting central monitor before you must disconnect the power cord.

network communication section, wireless network communication section, application software

Four ,The scope of products

This product can be from 1 to 64 with both supporting the use of monitors, central monitoring
system composed on heart rate, noninvasive blood pressure, oxygen, respiration, body temperature
and other parameters for centralized monitoring.

Five, customer support

When you need product support, please contact with agents and distributors. Before you call,
please record the following information
 Symptom or faulty component model;
 Failure of ongoing operations and their users around the steps

 If possible, please use the keyboard Prescript key interception of the screen, and open the
Windows system drawing tool that will paste the screen shot into Paint software, then save it as an
image file, as a fault report submitted to the maintenance engineer

Before using this instrument, please read this manual carefully in order to correctly and safely use

the equipment to achieve its performance targets, while ensuring the safety of the operator and

patient.

Chapter Two Central Station Description

First, the hardware requirements:


Host: CPU ≧ dual-core 2.8G, memory ≧ 2G, hard ≧ 500G, discrete graphics 1G.
Display: 19-inch color LCD monitor.
Printers: Laser printers, support A4 paper.

Two , Central Station Installation


A. The Company central monitoring system can be used two connection modes.
1) Optional wired connection, which uses the network cable to connect each bedside
machine via the switch will send the signal to the central station.
2) can also be used a wireless connection, that is, each unit is equipped with a wireless router
bedside. Installed at the central station in switches and wireless router can also be realized
monitoring network.
2. normally open ready computer, installing central monitoring software.
3 After installing the software on the computer USB port installed on the dongle can be
opened after the central monitoring system.
4 Set the LAN IP address is: 192.168.2.200, 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway

Two, Key Features

 Central station can simultaneously connect up to 64 bedside monitors;


 Each monitor can be up to 720 hours trend data storage and review;
 Each monitor can have 1000 alarm events stored and recalled;
 20000 total storage history of the patient;
 720 hours 64-channel ECG waveform storage and review;
 You can focus on any one single bed all waveforms and parameters, and supports full
screen.
 Display Waveform: 2 ECG waveform, a respiratory waveform, a pulse waveform, a
carbon dioxide waveforms, two invasive blood pressure waveform;

 Parameter display: heart rate, respiratory rate, ST segment, PVCs, oxygen saturation, pulse
rate, noninvasive blood pressure, body temperature, carbon dioxide concentration, invasive
blood pressure;
 Support the central station and bedside machine real bidirectional control;
 Supports single, dual display;
 Sound and light alarm, and text prompts.

Central network wireless or wired options, wireless monitoring network to better meet the clinical

needs.

Chapter Three Operating Instructions
3.1 The main interface

Central monitoring system provides basic monitoring functions in order to achieve multiple
patients at the same time monitoring, central monitoring system of guardianship main interface as
shown:

Central monitoring system can be divided into a custody arrangement 1~ 32, according to need to
select a different bed layouts.

3.2 Monitoring pane

The main interface displays a total of 1 to 32 monitoring pane, each pane is used to display the
monitor data coming from actual custody, as shown:
①Information prompt area
②Waveform area
③Parameter area

① Information prompt area :The top of the pane, shows the number of beds, patient name,
alarm information, and the current mode.Following is the comment of Information prompt area.
Beds: refers to the number of beds in patient care.
Patient Name: refers to the name of the patient currently being monitored
Alarm Information: Show the patient's alarm information, respectively, physiological alarms and
technical alarms. (The setting method, see "Alarm" chapter)
Current mode: The current display state. Such as: demo mode or measurement mode

②Waveform area: waveform area displays waveforms.

In the maximum configuration, the system standard interface can be displayed in the waveform
area 2 ECG waveform, SpO2 plethysmography waves, breathing waveform. The waveform name
displayed on the left top of each channel waveform. ECG can choose according to requirements.
Heart Radio on the Road also shows the channel gain and heart wave filtering methods.

Note :The end of the waveform side can be channel selection

③Parameter Area: Parameter area is located in the right side of the waveform area, and the
waveform is basically corresponds place. In the parameter area displays parameters: ECG
—Heart rate or pulse rate (Unit: stroke / min)
— Channels 1 and 2 ST segment analysis ST1, ST2 (Unit: mV mV) oxygen
saturation SpO2
— Oxygen saturation SpO2 (unit:%)
—Pulse rate (Unit: stroke / min)

NIBP
— In order from left to right are systolic, diastolic and mean pressure; (Unit: mmHg
mmHg or kPa kPa)
IBP
- Followed by systolic, diastolic and mean pressure; (Unit: mmHg mmHg or kPa
kPa)

RESP
-Respiration rate (Unit: times / min)
TEMP

-Temperature (unit: Celsius or Fahrenheit ℃ ℉)


CO2

— End-tidal carbon dioxide CO2 (mmHg) 2

— INS least amount of carbon dioxide inhalation

— Airway respiratory rate value (Unit: beats / min)

3.3Menu
This Monitoring system is Flexible , monitoring the waveform sweep speed ect can be configured

by the user’s need .Opening the message alert bar left“ ”,Pop-up menu shown in Figure 3-1,

And you can perform the following operations:

3.3.1 Display beds

In the menu, select "Display beds" dialog box will pop up as shown:

Figure 3-4 shows the bed

At this point you can choose bed for custody, but if choose other bed ,the fixed monitoring pane
will display the selected number for guardianship. And the Guardianship Pane will be exchanged

For example: In the past number of beds is " bed1 ", and you want to choose "bed 3",after select
"bed 3", "bed 1" and "bed 3" guardianship window will be exchanged .

3.3.2 Patients Association

In the menu, select "associated with the patient" dialog box will pop up as shown:

According dialog box to select the name , ID number, hospital number , social security number
and date of registration to check patient information.
Unspecified guardianship records: the role is to replace the patient information.
When monitoring pane has been monitoring the patient, if want to be associated with other
patients in same pane, the following dialog will appear:

Click the "OK" button, the system will automatically save unknown patient’s before date and
show below associated new patient. And complete the operation associated
"Cancel" to give up switching patient information.

3.3.3 Relieve patients associated

In the menu, select "associated with the patient" dialog box will pop up as shown:

Note :In the case of patient care can not be forced to relieve the patient association,

only the first stop to relieve the patient care association

3.3.4 Care setting

Users can according to need to operate,as picture:

3.3.4.1 Care setting


ECG Setup :①Gain setting: There are "1/4X", "2/1X", "1X" and "2X" Optional

②Filtering Mode: "Diagnostics", "care", "surgery" three models to choose from.


③Wave speed: "6.25", "12.5", "25" and "50" four kinds of velocity selection.
④Channel 1 and channel 2: There are seven channels each mode optional "Ⅰ", "Ⅱ
" "Ⅲ", "AVR", "AVL", "AVF" and "V"

SPO2 settings: Waveform Speed: four options available, "6.25", "12.5", "25" and "50"

IBP set: ① Measuring modes: "Manual" and "Automatic" modes.

When you select "Manual" mode, you need to click next to "Start / Stop blood

pressure measurement" or menu "Start / Stop blood pressure measurement."

When you select "Auto" mode, the interval can be selected, options range from 1min

~ 480min.

②Measurement object: the "adult" "child" and "baby" three options

When select "Auto" mode, firstly you must manually start the measurement of blood
pressure, after which it will automatically monitor blood pressure measurement according to
time intervals.

RESP set: ① gain setting: There are "1/4X", "2/1X", "1X", "2X" and "4X" is optional.

② wave speed: "6.25", "12.5", "25" and "50" four kinds of velocity selection.

IBP set: ① IBP1 Indicators and IBP2 indicators: there were eight optional, namely: "ART",

"CVP", "ICP", "LAP", "RAP", "PAP", "P1" and "P2" .

②Wave speed: "6.25", "12.5", "25" and "50" four kinds of velocity selection.

③ IBP1 gain IBP2 Gain: there were 11 kinds Optional: -33 to 300; -26 ~ 240; -20 ~

180; -13 ~ 120; -11 to 100; -8 to 80; -6 ~ 60; -3 ~ 30; -2 to 18; -1 to 10; -1 to 6

CO2 setting: ① wave speed: "6.25", "12.5", "25" and "50" four kinds of velocity selection

② Measurement Mode: "Measuring Mode" and "Standby Mode" two options.

Beds information: Monitor settings, information can also be set up beds, as picture:

"Bed Information" can change "bed Name" and "bed inside layout selection."
Beds within the layout options to choose according to user needs.

3.3.4.2 Alarm Settings
Alarm limits of each parameter and technical alarm could be set. As picture:

Warning

In order to prevent delay treatment, please fully operate alarm settings for each patient. At
the same time, guarantee the alarm can send out alarm sound. Cautiously cancel "enable".

3.3.5 Intensive Monitoring
Open the menu of "Intensive Monitoring’’ in a monitoring pan, the interface will pop up a
concealable, scalable and printable information viewing area,as picture:

During intensive monitoring, you could also open bed menu, operating settings according to your
need.
3.3.6 History Overview
Historical review function can observe patients who used the central monitoring system. If the

history information of the patient is being chosen as “dispel patient associations " when he
discharges from hospital, the information will be reserved. The system function can store
historical data of 20000 patients, which includes parameter info of the last day before the patient
discharges from hospital and recent 50 alarm information.
The following view will display when you open history overview:

1.Data review interface function


①“Patient Name”:Click patient name in reviewing function, it will display "associated with
the patient" dialog box, as shown in figure 3-5. You could replace patient for reviewing the
datum.
②“Time Scale”:Each page displays the length of time according to monitoring data . If you
choose "1 hour", the monitoring duration shown in the reviewing area is one hour.
③“Refresh”button:Click this button, namely to reload all kinds of monitoring records of the
current patient.
④“Page Up”button:Turn to the previous page to view the record before show time.
⑤“Page Down”button:Turn to the next page to view the record after show time.
⑥“Review Time”:The start and end monitoring time of current displaying monitor record.
You can click this button to choose monitoring starting time you need to view, the end time
is calculated by system according to the scale of starting time and current page time.
⑦“Record Time Span”:Display the starting time which the patient been first monitored in the
system and latest stored.
⑧“Monitoring Record”:The total length of effective monitoring time.
⑨“Record Duration”:Refers to how the length of time monitoring data is recorded into
database.
2.Instructions for data review
(1)patient basic information review

Similarly, click title "patient information" as shown in picture 3-12, you can switch to view of
patient basic information review, which including patient name, age, etc. This view could only
been viewed but not modified. Please click “patient management” to modify basic information of
patient. Please refer to picture 3-21“patient modification” for specific operation.
(2ECG review
Open ECG review of select title to unfold ECG review view, as picture 3-13:

There are “channel selection”, “selection”, “cancel”, “print”, “page up” and “page down”
in lower right corner of the view. Please make choice upon your need.
(3)Trend Review
Click title “trend revie” to unfold trend review view, as picture
3-14:

The view shows multiple channels of monitoring data of proportion between selected starting and
page time in form of trend chart.
The vertical coordinate on the left of view shows effectively data range of each channel in form of
scale, and the horizontal scale at the bottom of the view shows monitoring precess.
When the mouse moves within display area, its corresponding longitudinal and transverse
coordinates will display the monitoring data values and the monitoring time. When you click the
mouse, white identifying line of longitudinal coordinate will move to click area, parameter area on
the left side of view will display real-time monitoring data values of the point , please refer to the
oval pattern identification on the left side of the view. When double click the mouse, it will pop up

“zoom scale button" dialog box as picture 3-16, users can operate "zoom" according to needs.
The right side of the interface has "print" and "zoom" option. The print manner is the same as
picture 3-14. "Zoom" can change view size.

Zoom operations on page display

Click “zoom” button in the top right corner of the above picture, the interface as following picture
3-15 will pop up.

Operation Steps as belows:


A :Click duration displaying button on the upper row of the zoom view , namely, scaling,
such as "1 hour". At this moment, if the choosing duration is longer than current displaying one,
the displaying scale will change into the new choice, the narrow operation of the trend diagram
can be completed.

B:If the choosing duration is shorter than current displaying one, the displaying scale will
not change. But in the data review view will appear a translucent form, the form identify the
time range of zooming. If you want to change the time, please click arrow marked button on the
lower row of the zoom view in order to dolly move this transparent form. The operation can
also be conducted by dragging translucent form directly with the mouse.

C : After assuring the time range for zooming (namely translucent form location), click
“confirm” button on the zoom form, then the curve within this duration will be displayed in full
screen, so as to complete the amplification curve operation.

D: Zoom view lock: Default condition of the button on the top right corner is unlocked (refer
to picture 3-15), at this time after completing the current zoom operation (namely after clicking
"confirm" button), the scale will automatically shut down. If you need to continue after this,
please click this button, the icon will turn to the shape of downward, now the zoom view is
locked.
This view will not close after each zoom operation until manually click”close” button.
If you click the "print" button on the right side, alarm list of current range will be printed and
exported to system tolerant printer. Print way is the same as picture 3-14

(4)NIBP list review


Click title “NIBP list”, it will be switched to NIBP review view as the following picture
3-17:

This view shows all NIBP record of the current page within monitoring time scope, including
record time, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, average pressure and value of pulse frequency.
If you click the "print" button on the right side, alarm list of current range will be printed and
exported to system tolerant printer. Print way is the same as picture 3-14

(5)Alarm List review


Click title “alarm list” on the above picture 3-17, it will switch to alarm review view as the
following picture 3-17

This view shows all alarm record of current page within the scope of monitoring time,
including alarm name, time and alarm description (name of the channel, alarm value). You can
switch to alarm record of different time range through”page up” and “page down” button. If
you click the print button on the right side, alarm list of current range will be printed and

exported to system tolerant printer. Print way is the same as picture 3-14.

Attention :Some time ranges may not have alarm record.

3.3.7Boot stopping NIBP measure


Control NIBP measure button
Attention:Set NIBP as automatic measurement under monitoring setting.
After manually measure for once, monitor will measure automatically.
If you want to stop NIBP measure, click “boot stopping NIBP measure” for another time.
3.3.8 Stop Monitoring
Click “stop monitoring”, the system will suspend monitoring current window. When clicking
“boot monitor”, current window will be monitored again.
3.3.9 Freeze “cancel freezing”
Click “freeze”, system will pause. Click”cancel freezing”, system will continue monitoring.

3.4 Operation Bar


The operation bar is composed of a number of menu items, providing operation of the
main functions of system. As shown in the following picture 3-18:

1.“quit”button:There will pop up window prompt after clicking to confirm whether you want
to exit the system. After confirmation, the system will stop all bed monitoring and save the data
into database, and then quit the system.

2.“about” button: After clicking, it will display information as the supplier of this system,
version number, boot time and running time, etc.

3.“volume”button:Prompt alarm volume. There will pop up the form after clicking, which
has setting functions as high, medium, low and mute.

4.“patient management”:After clicking, it will appear setting function as newly add,


modify and delete patient information, etc.

Choose the patient whose information needed to be modified to modify in this dialogue box.

“date review”button:Open the view and choose a patient to review recorded information
of the specified patient. The content is the same as “history review” in “menu”. Refer to chapter
1.3.6 history review.

6、System Setting:Set system functions. As the following picture:

System Setting is divided into: general setup, data storage setting and color.
General setup:Conduct settings as unit set, ECG waveform network switch, presentation mode
switch, alarm volume switch and the shut down switch of the system and computer and printer
setting, hospital name and system name could be also modified according to special needs.
Data Storage:This setting is the store path of printed picture. Users can also set the storage path
according to special needs.
Color:Waveform color and parameter value color could be changed,as the following picture:

Move the mouse onto the colored box, click it and it will pop up a pane for changing colors, users

can change waveform color according to their own needs.

“monitoring layout”button:Choose different bed layout according to your needs,
such as convention view of Bed No.8, view of Bed No.4(intensive care of Bed No.1).

“bed management”button:To display all relative information of current beds, such
as bed name, monitoring condition, relative equipment and whether has bed view displaying.
Choose one bed, you could rename it and conduct “get to” specified bed view. As the following
picture:

Under this menu,
Rename: change bed number
Get to:Means when you choose one bed, click “get to”, the central system form will switch to
specified bed automatically.
Intensive care: Choose one bed and click “intensive care”, system will pop up information view
area of this bed.

Attention

Click "Communication window" or " bed" can order the beds according to the sequence or bed
numbers.

“ intensive care”button:Open message view area, it will display intensive care view.

The content is the same as which of “intensive care” in “menu”. Refer to chapter 1.3.5
intensive care。

“ alarming bed”button:Open message view area, it will list all current alarm beds
and corresponding alarm level, selected one of the beds, you could conduct "intensive care",
"set alarm", "get to" operation. If there is a bed occur to alarm under current system, the button
will show corresponding color upon alarm level . As the following picture:
