Return Demonstration
Bandaging & Transferring

Schedule:
February 6, 2023 - BSN 41 and 42, Demo Room & Pavillon
February 7, 2023 - BSN 43 and 44, Demo Room & Pavillon
February 8, 2023 - BSN 45, Demo Room

Paraphernalia needed: Triangular bandage(1), 4x4 Gauze (10 pieces)

Description: Bandaging is the covering of breaks in the skin, it helps in controlling bleeding and protecting against infection.
Triangular bandages can be used as large dressings, as slings to support a limb, or to secure a dressing in place. It may
also be used to support or immobilise an injury to a bone or joint or as improvised padding over a painful injury.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the activity, the students will be able to:
1. Recognize the accurate body part where bandage will be applied
2. Identify the correct bandaging technique based on the given scenario
3. Demonstrate the proper technique and application method of triangular bandage

Guidelines

1. This is an individual return demonstration.


2. You are expected to demonstrate 2 different bandaging and 2 transferring techniques.
3. Each student will need to prepare 1 triangular bandage.
4. You will be paired with another student.
5. A scenario will be given and you are expected to analyze and apply the appropriate bandaging technique to use.
6. You will be given 3 minutes per bandaging and transferring technique.
7. Rubrics will be used to grade your performance.

For Cravat Donut: must have a perfect round shape enough to

● A check mark (✔) will be indicated if the procedure was properly performed.
● If the grade is below 90% but not less than 75% there will be a remediation after the student reviewed the Critical Performance Steps
but the initial grade will be recorded. If the grade is below 75%, remediation will be done and the score that can only be obtained after
passing the remediation is 75%.
● If the remediation is to be schedule, the instructor will collect this sheet before the student leaves the laboratory.
● Instructor’s signature affirms that skills tests were done accordingly.
