COVID 19 MANAGEMENT PLAN Status: Approved

Mphohlo Investment is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our
employees and clients. To ensure this Mphohlo has developed the following Covid-19
preparedness plan in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Managers, Supervisors and employees
are all responsible for implementing this plan. Our goal is to mitigate the potential for
transmission of Covid-19 in our workplace.

Screening of workers will be done using a non-contact thermometer gun to check their
temperature before going inside the worksite

PREVENTING THE TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19


The plan also addresses:
 Ensuring sick workers stay at home and prompt identification and isolation of sick
persons
 Social distancing: workers must be at least a meter apart
 Limiting face to face interaction with the client
 Worker hygiene including face coverings
 Tools disinfection protocol for shared tools and equipment
 Communication and training practices
Sick persons
 Workers have been informed and encouraged to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of
covid-19.
 Workers health status will be assessed prior to entering the workplace and workers to
report when they are sick or experiencing symptoms

 Social distancing of at least a meter will be implemented and maintained between


workers
 Tasks will be planned to minimize contact between workers.
 In cases where it is not possible for workers to distance themselves from each other for
certain tasks, face masks and appropriate PPE must be worn. .
 Toolbox talks will be held only when necessary in an open area with enough ventilation
and physical distance will be observed and implemented and face to face interaction will
be limited
 The office will be limited for only 6 occupants at a time and social distance markings on
the floor must be observed all the time
Worker hygiene
 Workers will be instructed to wear face masks and other face coverings that cover the
mouth and nose at all times in the workplace especially when they are working together
for the same task or in meetings
 Workers are instructed to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water
frequently through-out the day, especially at the beginning and end of their shift, prior to
mealtimes and after using the restroom.
 Hand washing basin will be installed at the office door and soap will be placed nearby
and its everyone responsibility to refills, but for now workers can use the sink inside the
office and the one in the toilets for hand washing.
 Hand sanitizers will be available in the worksite offices and workers are required to bring
their own containers for refills.
Tools disinfection protocol
 Workers have been instructed to sanitize and disinfect shared tools and equipment before
they are used by the next person using alcohol based sanitizers.
Face to face interactions
 Meetings with clients will be limited to only when necessary and in such cases face
masks will be worn and social distancing will be implemented.
Communication and training
This covid-19 management plan will be communicated verbally and copies will be shared to all
employees and additional necessary trainings and updates will be provided in the long run.
Additional communication and training will be ongoing and incorporated in toolbox talks.
Posters and placards will be posted in the office doors, notice board and anywhere possible and
necessary to work as a reminder to all workers to comply to the Covid 19 regulations.
