from attending his online classes and running the risk of missing academic work.

A. Pupils must abide by rules, procedures and policies established by the subject teachers.

SUPPORT FROM PARENTS/GUARDIANS

With the instructional modality that LCC Silvercrest would be adopting, Home-school collaboration will be crucial
in ensuring the success of our strategic changes this school year. Parents/ guardians will play a vital role in their
children’s online-learning. Specifically, they can provide assistance by:
Designing a conducive study area for their children;
Setting up a daily schedule and ensuring that it is followed;
Printing the school schedule and placing it in a visible place;
Checking from time to time if their children are attending their classes and submitting their school requirement;
and
Communicating with the designated Class Adviser or Subject teacher regarding school concerns.

During classes, parents/guardians are expected to help and assist their children in setting up and preparing the
necessary devices (laptop, tablet, desktop, smart phone) and ensure that books, which are their major source of
reference, are available for use.

GRADING SYSTEM
The Grade School Department follows the Revised Grading System based on DepEd Order No. 031, s 2020.

1. To evaluate student learning at particular points in each quarter, summative assessments shall continue in
the form of written works and performance tasks.
a. Written works shall be administered to assess essential knowledge and understandings through
quizzes and long/ unit tests. Items should be distributed across the Cognitive Process Dimensions
(DepEd, 2015, p.4) using a combination of selected-response and response forms so that all are
adequately covered.
b. Performance tasks refer to assessment tasks that “allow learners to show what they know and are
able to do in diverse ways. They may create or innovate products or do performance-based tasks
including skill demonstrations, group presentations, oral work, multimedia presentations, and
research projects. It is important to note that written outputs may also be considered as
performance tasks” (DepEd, 2015, pp.7-8).

2. Performance tasks must be designed to provide opportunities for learners to apply

what they are learning to real-life situations. Each task must be accompanied with
clear directions and appropriate scoring tools (i.e. checklists, rubrics, rating scale,
etc.) to help learners demonstrate their learning.

Assessment Weights
Components Language/AP/ EsP Science/ Mathematics MAPEH/EPP/TLE

1. It shall be paneled by the Principal, Academic Coordinators and advisers.
2. It shall be administered through the latter part of the 3rd grading period and would involve the preliminary
identified Top 10 pupils of the grade level. The Oral Validation would consist of questions from all subject-areas. The
grades that would be obtained in the validation shall be transmuted following the DepEd prescribed transmutation as
per DO no.8 s 2015.
