CONCLUSION

From the study, it can be concluded that loneliness is an issue that should get more
attention. This may seem trivial to the general public because everyone must have
experienced this. However, due to the long term effects caused by this, if individuals
cannot feel content for a long period of time, something must be done. According to
statistics, young people, particularly overseas students, are the most lonely age group.
Within the scope of the university, what can prevent and help international students to get
through difficult times is having intimate friendships with new peer groups, especially in
the first year of their study.

Keeping themselves out there, approaching new people, and building relationships with
others can help prevent international students from feeling lonely. The presence of the
book Lost and Found, which has lists of activity ideas that may be enjoyed with friends
from school or surrounding student housing, can help this issue. They will sense the
happiness that exists since completing fun things and capturing them will enhance
dopamine in the brain, motivating them to do more of it and help them with the
loneliness.
